Shangri-La Tokyo

Second time staying with Shangri La Tokyo, room felt like a downgrade from our recent stay at Ascott Marunouchi Tokyo (2-bedroom executive suite). However, in comparison, the service at Shangri-La Tokyo staff was way better offering amenities for children, both hotels were able to provide 2PM late check out upon request during Cherry blossom season. Stand out feature was breakfast experience at Piacere - the Hayama Egg Benedict Original Recipe 1894 was perfection!! Wait Staff Thu Thu was truly memorable and elevated our experience. Check out was quick and the only faux pas was luggage was not sent down to our taxi within time, despite pre-booking.

Superb hotel. Can't go wrong. Service is impeccable. Rooms are large and very well maintained. Hotel Restaurants are great, but you also have good local food options within 5-10 min walk. Overall Great location right by Tokyo station.

Shangri-la Tokyo Hotel is very comfortable, well appointed, high service level hotel. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during our trip as we feel very welcome. The location being just above Tokyo Station is an added attribute. We are able to take day trips to prefectures outside of Tokyo via the Shinkansen and get back to rest in a comfortable hotel. It’s a great feeling to have that as an option.

Shangri-La Tokyo is conveniently located next to Tokyo Station and was a great place to begin and end our trip to Japan. The views from the rooms were spectacular especially at night. The staff was wonderful and they made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. And the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was delicious especially the strawberry waffles and ricotta pancakes. We appreciated that the staff spoke English as we only spoke a little Japanese. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

Our stay at the Shangri-La Tokyo was terrific. Charming and faultless assistance from all those that worked there, lovely rooms, delicious food and very convenient to Tokyo station and Imperial Palace Gardens. Good hotel but old facility. No USB-C cable charging outlet. I think the hotel needs to be updated soon.

Everything was exceptional from check in to check out. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean. Location can’t be beat.

Great location, great stay

Fantastic stay at the Shang. Staff were always great with service levels, place was grand and room was neat, clean and spacious. Loved everything about our stay and will be back.

Overall this was a wonderful stay- the rooms are well appointed and luxurious and the spa was a highlight. I found the staff here less friendly than the staff at the Ritz Carlton Tokyo which to me sets the bar for hospitality in Tokyo. The location is convenient but not beautiful.

Love it! The service is excellent and location is excellent! Will for sure come back next time.
