スタッフの皆さんも日本語が下手な私のために親切にしてくださってホテルの中の温泉は本当に良かったです。 美しい都市松山にまた行くなら、ニューグランドホテルをまた利用するでしょう。

Cheap but good quality hotel. There is a hot bath. Room is sizable for Japan hotel standard. I can open my suitcase while there is still room to walk.
Very convenient location. There is a Family Mart right by the hotel. Few minutes walk to shopping street. 15 mins walk to Matsuyama Castle ropeway. About 20 mins by tram to Dogo and Matsuyama Station.

Courteous staff and near shopping area. The room size was ok and the spa downstairs (free for guests, they hold your room key while using it) has 2 tubs and a few shower booths. The bathroom seemed updated and clean. It is far from the Jr station but I managed to walk in abt 20 min or so. Also walkable to Matsuyama castle.

I stayed without breakfast this time and it was a pleasant experience. The hot spring baths are all-night and you don't have to worry about the time. Very good service.
Rooms have a hot water kettle and a fridge. Room clothes and slippers are also provided. It was very user-friendly and convenient.

The room was clean and tidy. The location was very convenient. The staff were nice but they don't speak English. The pillow was really hard and uncomfortable. The onsen was currently undergoing renovations. The checkin time is pretty late 3pm and then checkout time was to early 10am. Had I known this I would have not booked here to stay.

Breakfast is not so good-----little salad and no fruits. The kitchen staff is running constantly in and out between the kitchen and the food counter.

Helpful reception staff, bedroom clean and spacious but tired decor e.g. chips in woodwork of desk. Ensuite bathroom dated and cramped but clean as possible given age.
Breakfast included ok but not as good as other hotels we've stayed in on this trip. Didn't try the hotel Onsen type baths but it was a good facility to have available. Free WiFi worked reasonably well except laptop couldn't connect.
