We stayed here as a home base for our visits to the Disney Parks. It was just a short walk from the JE line station and just 5 stops from Disney. The room was small but really well laid out to maximize functionality and storage. My adolescent children lived having their own bunks with a lamp and an outlet. It is in a quiet area but felt very safe, even after dark.

  • Taxi (most direct):

A taxi is the most direct way to reach the hotel, offering door-to-door service. However, it's also the most expensive option. Expect a fare of around ¥20,000 - ¥30,000 from Narita and ¥8,000 - ¥12,000 from Haneda, depending on traffic.
  • Airport Limousine Bus (comfortable and convenient):

The Airport Limousine Bus offers a comfortable and relatively hassle-free transfer. Buses run regularly from both Narita and Haneda to major hotels in the Makuhari area. The journey takes about 60-90 minutes from Narita and 40-60 minutes from Haneda, and costs around ¥3,000 - ¥4,000.

Pretty good hotel for solo travelers around the Makuhari area. It's close to the Shin-Makuhari train station, as well as a couple of shops and a supermarket. So if you want to get something to eat from a convenience store, or take a train out to Tokyo, then you can do that easily. As for the room, the one I had was a single room. It is small, so you probably don't have enough room to move around in. But it was manageable. For the price, it's not too expensive.

So close to the Shinnarashino station and the surrounding stores like a grocery store! One station over by the local train is a big mall! Took only a few minutes to get there. I didn’t hear any trains in our room and I would say that it was very quiet. We got a room with two beds and the room was clean. My son agreed with me that the bathroom is smaller than other Japanese hotels’. I am 5’1” tall and I thought it was very small. Laundry was very convenient to have on the 2nd floor (500 yen for both washing and drying) which took two hours. Some may need some planning before starting laundry! We extended our check out time to 11am instead of scheduled 10am. It was 2000yen per hour. Breakfast was okay. It was missing some staples like Onsen tamago, hiyayakko, and natto. I would stay here again but definitely won’t include breakfast next time.

Tosei is a very very inexpensive hotel to stay at relative to its 4.5-star rating. However, it is a very small room for 4.5-star ammenities isn't what you might expect of a luxury hotel. I am comparing the hotel relative to higher-end hotels (those bigger names with franchises as a benchmark for the star rating) This hotel feels more like a 2/3 star hotel that is very very business-focused, so it might be good for a 1 or 2-night stay for travelers that want a cheap stay. My experience there was pretty meh, the staff there did not clean the sheets daily. (Towels and bathroom amenities are changed) The toilets are similar to the airplane, with a plastic sink, bathtub, and walls. The toilet walls are plastic printed tiles which give the aesthetic of a higher-end hotel but the materials are off. The location is great, you can see the subway/railway from the hotel with a mini-mall with a variety of food nearby. Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you are tight on your budget, but be warned this isn't 4/5 star.

This place was amazing. We can’t say enough about the staff or the hotel. Extremely accommodating, extremely polite and considerate, extremely clean. We stayed as a family of 5 with three little kids. Breakfast was great, groceries and subway were very close walk, a few close dining options. Tokyo is a 30min subway ride would be the only negative, but we knew that booking. The gentleman who ran the breakfast service started reserving a table for us with a high chair and brought our kids the chocolate croissant buns when he noticed they liked them. The front desk staff was always happy and helpful though English was not widely spoken. Amazing experience overall.

The hotel was great but no nearby restaurants open late. Close to a train station though.

I was pleased by the spaciousness of the room and the convenience of public baths in the hotel. I also liked that there is a hot spring spa within walking distance as well as a public aquatics center across the street for indoor swimming. The best economy hotel stay I've had in japan so far.
