Pros: great staff, clean rooms, quiet, close to train station
Cons: very very hard beds and pillows. It felt like sleeping on the floor. Also it's in a nightlife (red light) area with mostly bars so it's hard to find places to eat dinner that allow kids.

Stayed 2 nights and Toyoko-inn never disappoints when it comes to business stay.. size is typical japan style, small and enough for one..
one thing I really wish the hotel can be more flexible is the check in time. The check in time is 4pm and they will not let you check in early even if it’s Available, not a Second earlier. So I have to wait at the lobby till 4pm.

My first experience with Toyoko-inn was many years ago in Shinjuku.. I always remember it as clean and affordable hotel and still, this one at Yokkaichi didn’t fail me. Typical business hotel, small but enough for business purpose and it’s clean. They have self service laundry area and you can buy the detergent at a small fees so you don’t have to bring a lot of clothes. Location is just 5mins walk from Yokkaichi kintetsu station which has many restaurants around. Family mart is just around the corner if you are hungry at late hour. Breakfast is kinda simple so don’t expect a lot from the breakfast, decent enough for me as I’m traveling for business. Overall, still a good experience with toyoko-inn. Will continue to stay at this hotel if I come back to Yokkaichi the next time.

The twin room is very small and there is no space for us to open up our luggage on the floor. As we checked in at night, all the parking lots in the hotel were occupied. There is no mention in the booking website that we have to write in to reserve a parking lot. Free Japanese styled breakfast was surprisingly delicious.
