VESSEL INN ASAKUSA TSUKUBA EXPRESS

The hotel was okay but I would recommend staying elsewhere, the rooms and restroom area is not as big as the picture online suggests. Also it’s far from any station.

Reasonable accommodation that’s close to Asakusa shopping areas and restaurants.

the hotel room is a typical one that you will find in Tokyo. Small but gives you everything you need. The hotel has a washer and dryer and they give you certain freebies like lotion and toner. overall a decent option for a cheaper end hotel.

Staff are excellent. In general so is the hotel except there is a steep step up from the bedroom to the bathroom which I couldn't manage so they organised me an extra potable step up, which worked well but I couldn't get on and off the toilet without hurting myself and the accessible rooms were already taken. There is a disabled toilet on the ground floor but not ideal for toilet trips in the middle of the night so sadly I had to go elsewhere after my first night, which they arranged for me. I wish I could have stayed.

Vessel Inn was a great choice and stay. It’s conveniently just a short walk from Senso-ji temple and the major shopping areas of Asakusa. Im addition there is a gym just down the street which is very nice. If you want to get away from the tourist traffic you can go to some of the quieter more local areas of the city as well. Breakfast was always delicious with multiple choices of food. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. And the hotel was quiet and cozy, making it feel like home, which was nice to return to after busy days in the city. Thank you Vessel Inn for being such a big part in my wonderful trip to Asakusa! And thank you for making me feel at home!!

Great service. My family loved the shaved ice and refreshments offered. I really like this hotel and would definitely use again when I can in any of my travels

clean but small. not far from sensoji which was nice. price was good. breakfast was okay. my only real complaint was the limited laundry facilities that didn’t dry my clothes properly.

Our hotel is very clean and staff are very nice. And most of all the location is good for near tourist spot and Public transportation. I will definitely come back her again.

Initially when you look at the photos that they have on online you may think that this is going to be an amazing selection for the price point they have. It seems they have spent some money to renovate the hotel lobby, however, the rooms were cheaply renovated and what topped it off for me was that there was NO BEDSHEET ON THE MATTRESS?!?! They put a mattress topper on top of an old mattress… with no cover… Also, watch out because only the rooms you pay more for are slightly renovated (I know this because I asked for the upgrade) they had me on the non-renovated floor at first where the whole floor smelled of smoke from cigarettes and they claimed my room was a “non-smoking” room. Not only that, but in general the bathroom and rooms are extremely small, the bathtub is big enough to fit a 7 year old child (although in general I believe that most accommodations are small in Japan?) and it smells horrible like an old folks home in the there. Now let’s get to the fun part! There is 0 sound proofing in the walls of this hotel, because I kept waking up to people having intercourse, opening/closing their doors all night, talking/screaming/moaning, the TV, even people hanging their clothes on the rod!! You can hear the most smallest of noises from upstairs/behind/in front of you. The positive aspects: unlimited amount of toiletries, breakfast buffet is not bad, 10 minute drive from Ueno Station, polite staff.

I loved the vibe of the hotel. I wish I had more time to try the other amenities. The staff were so nice and accommodating. Overall a great experience
