I stayed with my husband and 2 teenagers. Our stay for 6 days were all pleasant. As we're always greeted by courteous and jolly staff. Not all Front Desk staff can speak English well like the lady in day shift. Our room is cleaned well daily. Our room is quite small for 2 pax, we're having difficulty moving around with our luggages since there were no closets and only 3 hangers were provided. We love the breakfast although we noticed the main course is changed on the 3rd day, there's no variety on the side dish but still sumptuous. There is available coffee and tea at the lobby, very welcoming from very cold late night outs. The hotel is also nearby parks and tourist sites. Service is good. Will highly recommend this hotel to relatives and friends.

It is very near to Wakayamashi Station, like 2 or 3 minutes away so, it is good when you arrive late like we did out of Singapore. It is old and small hotel, and there will be slight difficulty to locate. Just walk straight out of the station, cross the traffic lights and first small street, turn left and there you are (I said turn left so you will understand how to cross the traffic lights). We were late and got a big triple room. You are in Japan, lol rooms are small, so don't complain. Lots of gadgets in the room, no chance to use. However, happy with the kettle to make coffee. Stay again.

The location of the hotel was excellent. It was very easy to get to from the bus/train station. The breakfast provided was delicious and a good selection of Japanese food. The room was clean and well equipped - it had a humidifier and foot massage device. The only problem was the size of the bed, but it was definitely worth staying in.

I had a great stay; however, the decor leaves much to be desired. I have stayed at hostels with better decor. The room looked very tired and outdated. The tiles in the bathroom need new grout. The bedspread had a hole in it as if a previous guest had burnt it.

While the hotel was hard to find, and the room was a bit outdated, the FREE morning breakfast was amazing!!! It was a typical Asian meal where you have meal-type items for breakfast (salad, rice squares, soup), but the food was freshly made and absolutely delicious. We were also very happy with the size of the bathroom and the air conditioning in the room.

Near Wakayama-shi station so the location is convenient. Can take bus at the station to get to some attractions, so sometimes more convenient than staying around Wakayama station. Breakfast is good and local, authentic Japanese meal. Service is good though English is not really useful but can communicate. Bed for two people is a little bit small.

Maybe not the best hotel in the area but absolutely fine and certainly a great value. A short walk from the train station. Good wi-fi. OK Japanese breakfast. Everybody in our party of 5, aged 5 to 75+, felt totally comfortable.

Definitely not fancy, it looked like these guys used the same bed spreads as Motel 6. But clean, and with a free massage machine, humidifier, water boiler, and refrigerator in the room, there are worse places to stay! We enjoyed the location near the train station and about a 10 min walk from a major shopping area with lots of food available.

It's very far out from all the tourists area but it's conveniently located just one block away from the JR Wakayama City Statiion only a 5 mins. Walk. The downside is the last train stopped after 10pm at the Wakayama City and there are not many trains scheduled throughout the day, so we often had to get off 2 stations earlier at the Wakayama Station ( that's the station you need to change when going to Wakayama City station). The rooms are very small and not so clean. But the bedsheets and pillow cases are at least new and clean. The breakfast is excellent. There are soup, veggies, rice cakes of different flavor, coffee, juices, tea etc which are carefully prepared each morning.

The Hotel officer can't speak in English only a Lady who stand in morning shift. Only 10 mins. walk to Train station. You will find a wonderful testy of Wakayama's Orange, the price also reasonable.
