What Guests Say About Their Stay

We had an excellent time. The Hotel is relatively new. We upgraded the room to a corner unit with 32 m2. The amenities look relatively new and clean. The only thing we did not understand is the glass between the room and the bathroom. Not only can you see another person inside the bathroom, but it also lets early daylight to come in. We hanged closes in front of it to avoid the first issue. We chose this Hotel because it was close to a Symposium venue that I attended. It is about 3 or 4 blocks from/to Osaka station, which is quite convenient. My wife liked the breakfast (I do not opine about it because I usually have coffee with some small piece of bread or pastry). They have a coin-operated laundry room which is very convenient. I also enjoyed the Jura machine they have in the lobby for complimentary coffee. You can prepare only a coffee or an Americano (I tried only the first), but not capuchinos or lates. They also provide drip coffee in the room. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Oh! I had the best burger in years (Wagyu) across the street from the hotel (I believe the place was called The Warehouse).

A very friendly welcome before we headed to our big comfy room. The bed was fantastic, and the rain shower was amazing. Nice lounge area with free tea and coffees and the restaurant was amazing! We enjoyed pre-dinner cocktails and a fantastic 3 course meal. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from Osaka train station which we used on a daily basis for day trips and to catch the Osaka loop to easily get around the city.

So this hotel is primarily for foreigners, so if you want a local experience, this hotel isn't for you. It sure is beautiful and elegant, both outside and inside, but there are a few flaws I find that make this hotel seem quite overrated. First, the staff seem nice, but none of them smile at all. Coming from other hotels and different regions of Japan, it was a complete shame that a warm environment was non-existent. Second, the refrigerator was not functional, and we were instructed to just use the public lounge downstairs for chilling and labeling our items—a shame. Third, the restaurant inside, as good as it looks, fails heavily in food quality. The pastas felt like eating Kraft dinner, and the servers did not seem to pay attention well. When asked for more cheese on top of the pasta, the manager just pointed out that cheese was already placed on top and looked away. And it's way overpriced for the food; I can only say the cocktail was the best part of it. Breakfast was also very subpar, only consisting of some oversteamed vegetables and fruits. For the price you pay, I cannot strongly recommend this otherwise. The hotel is clean and the rooms were fine, but these flaws I've mentioned cannot justify the price I'm paying.
