Turtle Bay Beach Club

Rooms are basic and in need of modernising and decorating - old and dirty, and the doors are very insecure. Service is terrible, most staff are very slow and indifferent, assuming that is you can actually find them. Drinks take an age to arrive and you have to ask several times. If you are looking for cheap and cheerful then the hotel is ok, but it is not somewhere i would choose to stay again.

This resort rates excellent on all counts. Cleanliness is top notch. Staff are super friendly. Not our first visit and will not be our last but this is paradise on a plate in Mama Africa

The room was as promised and clean. The food and drinks were very good and staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely return and recommend this resort.

Great place to stay on the beach in Watamu, proximity to Malindi international airport was super given construction between Mombasa and Watamu! The private adults pool is amazing for those without kids that want a quiet pool. If you are across from the dining/entertainment area though it is loud with music at night until about 12:30 am - next time will request room on the opposite side. I had a wedding blessing that was absolutely incredible - Nancy the planner was the best!!!

All inclusive, but share what that means to vacationers. Just because on the beach someone is wearya Turtle Bay T shirt, doesn't mean they work for the Hotel.

Nice property even if it is a little bit outdated. Special mention for the staff and hair salon.

This resort is unique in the combination of guests it hosts:: I love that even during Kenya's high international tourism season there are always lots of Kenyan families at Turtle Bay. The price is reasonable, and keeps the beauty of the Kenya coast available to the people it belongs to while also showing it off hospitably and beautifully to the world.

The place needs some work

It was perfectly comfortable and the rooms had air conditioning. There was a limited gluten free menu and the included wine was dreadful. The pool was lovely and the staff excellent. It is a but tired. The booking of sunbeds was very tedious as some people rarely even came to the bed while others had no space. The music at night was the same ever day, was not really catered for the needs of the huests that were there and very loud in the bedrooms

TV did not work. Staff and even manager called Ken made no effort to fix it.

Rooms are in dire need renovations & upgrade. Service is good. Location & beach is amazing including food

It was the most fantastic stay , hotel , food and staff we had in many many years . We loved the place , very relaxing and friendly visitors . I will recommend to friends and family . Joyce our waitress , thanks for making us feel like home 😘

Abbiamo soggiornato 4giorni nel resort. Il personale è molto cortese e competente, la struttura bella e affacciata sul mare (strepitoso). Le camere grandi e comode, probabilmente una rinfrescatina alla struttura renderebbe tutto perfetto!

The staff get 12 out 10. Choice of different items in buffet are amazing. This is a 4* and they had king prawns on dinner menu on 21st december with the lower rates before Christmas. We are writing this review from a 5* hotel in malindi owned by a large italian chain on christmas eve and there is no dreams of having prawns on menu. Hands down an amazing experience. Only downside is the general cleanliness. The loos near the pool stink really bad

Turtle Bay Beach Resort appears to have had some upgrades since our last visit in 2023. There is fresh paint in many places, the ping pong table has been restored and new paddles are available to use. The food remains good, though not exceptional and there is sufficient variety for most tastes. The all-inclusive alcoholic drinks remain dismal due to the use of bottom end ultra-cheap alcohol requiring the consumption of multiple drinks to better enjoy your vacation. This is despite asking for stronger drinks time and time again. End result, a full belly of juice and not as much relaxation as desired. The only other downside remains the "available" WiFi. I walked all the common areas one day and tested the WiFi download speeds. This included poolside, up at reception, in our room. I'm sorry to report that there was no location that had a download speed in excess of 1mb/second, many locations such as our room had no WiFi whatsoever. In this modern era, this is unacceptable for guests who want to stream a movie at night for their kids. Turtle Bay, it's time to spend the money to upgrade your internet service!! We were pulling a strong signal in our room from nearby Medina Palms resort and no signal from Turtle Bay! Overall, Turtle Bay remains a reliable location to relax and not worry about added fees, but it remains in need of upgrades to remain competitive. Cheaper prices will only go so far before the lack of quality becomes more important than the savings. Tom

This is our second time visiting Turtle Bay. We like the staff and their dedication to the environment and community. However the rooms are in need of updating mattresses, bathroom and decorations. Also the music is played late into the night til 12:00am.

Air conditioning didn’t work, the food was very average, bed was very uncomfortable, the room was firstly when I arrived. The staff we’re constantly trying to over charge. Overall a bad experience

The staff are what make the place. They will go above and beyond for you! It’s also beautiful! The rooms are clean and quiet. Not the fanciest hotel in the world but comfortable and comforting. Nothing left to be desired.
