Very Good

18 Traveloka customers have stayed in this hotel and given reviews:

1) During the check in, I was the first at the counter. There were no receptionist at the counter. When the receptionist came out, instead of greeted us, we were not greeted with a smile or any welcome wish. But she acknowledged a guy which she is known (this guy obviously cut queue). I had to wait for 10 minutes till they settled. 2) The room where is stayed is about 500metres to the guard house. no vehicle is allowed in the vicinity of the Resort. We opt for rented a bike but had to park near the guardhouse. For me, when you are on a businesses trip, it is a troublesome for us as we had to walk out and walk in. 3) Security guards are very impolite. Most time when we come back with the bike, we were stopped and harshly they commanded where we are going and said no bikes allowed. we are guess of the hotel. you can treat the tourist better than you treat local guest.
Great hospitality and service!
Stayed in deluxe chalet, full board. - Chalet was big enough but a bit old and tired. - Bedbugs. I got bitten by bedbugs badly at both legs. Hotel must clean and disinfect the beds. - Lunch buffets' options are boring and not worth the price paid. Dinner buffets are much better. - Location is good. Shuttle buses service between resort and Kampung Tekek could be improved. - Restaurant staffs and receptionists are very helpful. - Dive centre staffs are very informative and helpful. - Overall a good trip..
Food nice, accommodation great and friendly staff at restaurants but a little slack when my room not ready until afternoon and I request to clean up room, it is not be done when I came back.
Everything was great here
Need to upgrade the old chalet
The rooms and services are not too bad, but they are quite scattered around the hotel area. Hotel food are so so. Quite far from the town so it isn't too accessible to more food and shops (around 5-10 minutes walk to reach the entrance gate from the hotel lobby, then you can either choose to walk another 15 - 20 minutes across the hill to reach the town or take taxi which cost around RM15 one way).
the resort was quite ok but I having problem with transportation over there. you cannot rent a motorbike and bring inside the resort. you must either walk to main gate or grab a shuttle if you lucky enough and my room is quite far from pool and dining place. if you bring a baby pls consider room near with restaurant nelayan.
Scenery is beautiful. Got coaster ride from Ferry terminal to resort, and vice versa. So convenient. This is my 4th time here. Pool is great, beach is walking distance only. Good
It s a nice place for relaxing. I also enjoy playing tennis.

Staff service some good some very bad attitudes!
1st day reached, this hotel happening unbelievably , is don't have water for bath in whole hotel every chalet and pool side! When we known is on the time 1500 until around 2000 , the maintenance repair their main pipe in hotel.. Food is delicious which suit Asian, for foreign.. they are a bit choice only. For return Towel Counter at Pool side have 2 guys staff. 1 of them ask my room no. and told me search my record (its my friend write for borrow the towel) then when I return difficult to search back and take some time, the another staff Not only do not help and said "cepat sikit" mean "move fast". I didn't search my record, your hotel staff what his help? Didn't help any! This is the 1st time and last time Im here!

It's like going back into 1990!
Big spacious resort. Perfect if you have a large family or want to go for some RnR as a couple. This resort would have been the bomb in the 90's, basketball courts, pools, games areas, you name it, it has it. You really feel like you have been thrown back into the 90's and that is cool! The beach is beautiful, just beautiful and there is plenty of space for you with a family or a couple to just chill and relax!!! This is why we have given it a 4 star, the space and room you have to walk around is great. We had the Superiour Chalet which was great in size and the bathroom was epic! It is worth paying more to get a nice big room. Bed was big but hard :/ Standard around Asia I find. Food was ok, people have commented on the breakfast being awesome, it isn't. However, if you like a Malay or Indian breakfast you're in for heaven I guess, but we don't. We like a good western breakfast and settled for an omlette, water (juice is not juice) and coffee. There was fruit but not a huge selection..... not going to lie we did enjoy a chicken nugget at breakfast two. Note that this resort is far far away from everything and your only choice is to eat at the hotel of the restaurants nearby. Hotel food is like buffet every night and it is very meh... the restaurants just outside the hotel were actually really really good. The thai restaurant in the hotel is nice, but portion size for the price is disappointing. Happy hours drinks are great and a good price, you may have to help them understand how to make your specific cocktail but they are always willing to learn and listen. Service was nice and polite the whole time. Check-in again, 1990 style - make sure you have cash with you, no card to pay except for at the end so we just did it that way. Tours for snorkelling are great. Again, the resort is far away so going for a walk is a bit insane and cycling to the village on the same level, if you're fit you'll manage like we did.

Piece of Heaven
Don't put high expectation on their room since it's an old resort. BUT the surroundings and the view are SUPERB!!! They have their own private beach (just a few steps from the resort) where you can just lay on their sunbed under the cabana for the whole day while enjoying the turquoise sea water. When its low tide, you can walk until in the middle of the sea. The staff are helpful. If you don't want to eat inside the resort, no worries there is a Malay cafe just a few steps outside the resort at the gate. (The food is good and value for money). The buffet breakfast here is the best I must say compared to other 5 stars hotel I've ever been. Must try their Nasi Lemak! The snorkelling trip will cost you around RM90-RM150 depend on package. (Worth it!!!!) Will definitely return! I

A relaxed stay in Berjaya.
Berjaya Tioman Resort is situated beside a sandy beach with some spectacular snorkeling close by. We are a family of 5, two teenagers and a child of 10. We booked 2 rooms. The parent room had a large kingsize bed and the children's room had twin beds with an additional camp bed for our youngest. The rooms were well appointed with a spacious ensuite. They were well serviced throughout our stay of 6 days. There are kayaks and snorkels available to rent. On site there is one large family pool and a quieter adult pool. Two restaurants are available, the main one serving several cuisines and the second predominately Thai. The food is adequate and there is definitely room for improvement. Perhaps a smaller menu would improve quality. The staff were friendly and courteous throughout our stay. Berjaya has a lot to offer and good value.
