The staff is very helpful, polite and nice. For the price this place was beyond expectations, cleanliness ( I’m a former VIP hotel supervisor so I can tell when they are doing a great job) and they have parking ( which is rare in most hotels in the city ). The hotel has a very cute terrace with a beautiful view of the city and the location is very convenient, Just 5 minutes walking to the famous “Callejón Del Beso”. I would definitely stay here again! El staff del hotel Es súper amable y cordial. Por el precio, este lugar superó mis expectativas. Cuentan con estacionamiento (lo cual no es común en la mayoría de los hoteles de la ciudad), la habitación estaba limpia ( trabajé en un hotel como supervisora VIP y puedo notar cuando realizan bien su trabajo). El hotel tiene una terraza con una bella vista de la ciudad además de que solo se encuentra a 5 minutos -caminando - del famoso “Callejón del Beso”. Definitivamente me volvería a hospedar Aquí en mi próxima visita a esta bella ciudad.

Nice, modest and eclectic. Beautiful views in an authentic Mexican Colonia complete with tacos and the traditional dish enchiladas minera sold on the street.

Great view, awesome staff, beautiful hotel and centrally located!

For the price this hotel is above expectations. It's not in the city center, but it's only about a 10 minute walk to one of the most popular tourist attractions, then a gondola ride, which is about $1 US, will put you right in the center. The room was clean and everyone was friendly. Shower water oscillates between scalding and freezing, but I've been told that's pretty normal even for higher end places. If you don't mind spending more, staying in the city center is a better option. If you're willing to walk just a little more, this is a great value option.

Beautiful view and excellent service !

Booked rooms with friends. We were assigned rooms with small windows into stairwells, which we were not satisfied. The woman at the front desk took extra effort to make us all comfortable and happy with suitable rooms. We ended up with rooms overlooking the city. She was very helpful with all of our requests. There was some renovation going during our stay; but it was not a big inconvenience.

After searching for hotels and reading the reviews, we finally decided to stay here. Thanks goodness for the reviews since we have a truck and parking is a non existence to some hotels near the main attractions. We stayed here for 2 nights and 3 days, it was a pleasure staying here for sleep, the double bed is comfortable at room 11. The gps is lost when typing in there address, we asked local people for directions after we got to the area, yes we speak spanish. The roads are too narrow and hilly. The whole town is on the mountain, be prepared to walk at least 10-15 mins from the hotel to the main city and back climbing, yes, it is a good cardio. We didn’t really stayed in the hotel, only for sleep. The front desks staff and helpful and courteous. They cleaned our room and changed towels even though we didn’t asked for it, that was a plus. Stay here if you want parking and a safe place to sleep but not good for walking/climbing of your have limb/heart issues. Hot water is on 24/7, water pressure is fine, toilet flushes good. Overall, we had a great stay. Only complaint is the position of the tv, it’s on the ceiling just below your headboard.

The staff was nice but they know about the crime in the area. There are a little gang that works at the corner store. I feel that I was going to get robbed or possibly kid napped. At night when I would come back from my long day. I would take a taxi back the the hotel. I would see a bunch of gangster hanging in the dark side of the corner. It seems like they were looking for Trouble. So I paid to stay at another hotel. I’m not risking my life to save a buck again. Plus the towel were really bad. They were worn out and smelled bad.

We enjoyed our stay, we enjoyed a quiet evening on their patio looking at the view. The location was very quiet at night, only issue is not much close at hand, and traffic was crazy busy so we felt like staying in. Best would be if they had meal service. Great for a one night stay on first arrival, then move into town, if you can find parking.

My experience staying at La Casona De Las Aves was great. The staff were all very helpful and flexible. I was able to change rooms and extend my stay. My room was always clean and staff made sure I had everything I needed, clean towels and fresh coffe or tea in the morning. They were supper helpful with helping me arange my tours, called taxi cabs and made wake up calls. Unfortunately the kitchen services were not available during my stay. If you don't mind walking 5-10 minutes to the center of town you will appreciate the hotel rates.

The staff is friendly although service a bit improvised; no cards payment possible at time of my staying. Restaurant was not working for breakfast, not even coffee. Rooms are basic but completely furnished. One mayor advantage is the nice view over part of the old Guanajuato center.

El hotel es bueno, lo unico que es muy dificil de encontrar, tardamos mucho tiempo en encontrarlo porque el mapa te manda a otras rutas que no son. Y luego la calle por donde nos ibanos del centro al hotel esta muy sola en la noche, da un poco de inseguridad pero afortunadamente no paso nada.
