Hotel Gold

I found this hotel looking for something close to Atlacomulco and it was a good find, the surroundings are fabulous and worth seeing.

Te property is very new. I was told that they had around 6 months in operation from the time it was ready. Everything is aesthetically pleasing. Though it seemed that they still have some finishing touches that need to be addressed. There are no carbon monoxide or smoke detectors within the rooms we stayed in. Maybe that’s why whoever stayed before us spent time smoking in the bathroom and even left a cigarette burn in the shower floor; we are non-smokers. We were there, for a night, during the last week of December of 2019. There are currently no heaters in the reins we stayed, so expect it to be very cold, even with the warm blankets provided. Also, the main reason we chose it was because of the advertised 10km distance from the Monarch Butterflies Sanctuary we were going to visit the following day. Unfortunately, the hotel is definitely NOT within that distance. It is way farther. The positive side to this is that it is next to a beautiful town, named El Oro de Hidalgo. During the day it has a swap meet, and during the evening, Mamés way to it’s beautiful structures and locales.

This is a brand new hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean, comfortable. They have a tv, a little table; everything you need for a cozy night. The room has plenty of towels, toiletries and bottled water per person. It is not a luxury hotel, but a very nice place to spend the night. The hotel is a 10 min drive from downtown (a taxi charges ($1.75 dlls to take you to downtown) The young staff is extremely friendly, polite and helpful. A big thank you to Ernesto for making us feel at home. There is underground parking and the staff closes the door at 10 pm. So your car is safe. Breakfast is only instant coffee and a box of cereal. Cur fresh fruit only on weekends. However, with all the delicious food that you find in downtown El Oro, you don't really want to eat at the hotel. Best of all, a room with two double beds for less than $35 dollars a night, makes this hotel “gold” for avid, budget conscious travelers. My sisters and I had a very pleasant stay in this hotel. I highly recommend it and , definitely, we are looking forward to go back.

La habitación es muy sencilla, las camas algo duras. Se anuncian con desayuno incluído, pero solo te ponen café, leche, galletas y cereal.

Me gustó mucho, el personal muy atento, el cuarto estaba limpio, hospedaje muy agradable.

Buen servicio, un edificio bastante nuevo y agradable, pero no tiene (o no vi) accesos para personas con problemas de movilidad (escaleras en caracol para subir a las habitaciones) y de momento no tiene servicio de restaurante o comedor.

Lugar tranquilo, limpio y seguro. Personal amable

El hotel es muy simple, pocos espacios de estacionamiento, falta iluminación en las habitaciones, no cuenta con servicio de cocina o que tengan convenios con restaurantes locales, despues de llegar en la noche solo se ofrece un café o cereal y por la mañana lo mismo, no hay opción de desayunar y debemos salir a buscar, motivo por el cual decidimos irnos del lugar.

No hay desayuno realmente, sin embargo café, leche, cereal casi a cualquier momento y lo que uno quiera. En auto muy fácil de llegar y transportarse al centro de "El Oro", estacionamiento en planta baja, si eres de tercera edad extrañaras que no tenga elevador.

Buena atención del personal, instalaciones conservadas para el tiempo del hotel (de acuerdo al costo), estacionamiento bueno, lo mejor fue agua bien caliente todo el día. Te ofrecen bebidas calientes por la noche, después del registro, acertado del hotel por el frio.

El único detalle es el cruce por la carretera, fuera de eso todo bien
