What Guests Say About Their Stay

I really loved my stay at La Palomilla! The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a really nice experience and I really liked the coffee. As a smaller operation, it was nice to see the same small group of guests every morning too. This made my vacation as a solo traveler a little bit more social, and gave opportunities to discuss fun things to do in Mexico City. The B&B is in a very nice part of town. It is only a few blocks away from Chapultapec park so there are great options for runners! I also appreciated the rooftop balcony, which was a pleasant area to hang out even in November. My room was very comfortable, and the cleaning was well done. I slept better at La Palomilla than I usually do when away from home.

My wife and I did a week in CDMX with a mix of working and fun. This BnB was wonderful and super friendly to us. The breakfast and cookies were very tasty, the hospitality was top notch, and we even had a massage and facial! Walking distance to everything and very safe and clean. It's a great choice and we would certainly come back.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The location couldn’t have been better, with shops, restaurants, and plenty of things to see all within easy walking distance. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

The spot was great and the staff were so kind and helpful! Really enjoyed our stay and we loved the surrounding neighborhood. The rooftop is so lovely too. The only reason I didn’t give it a full five was that I didn’t realize our bathroom was not connected to our bedroom and was in the shared hallway but that wasn’t much of a problem regardless. Great spot, thanks for having us!!

We felt so well cared for at La Palomilla...it was like spending a long weekend in someone's home. The rooms are cozy but beautifully designed and laid out and, in our case, comfortably accommodated two people and two small dogs. The included breakfast is a delight, and so are all the people at La Palomilla. Can't recommend it enough..it's a comfy haven in a very big city. And the neighborhood could not be better!

The staff was so friendly and wonderful. The rooms are small but clean and beautifully decorated with lots of light. Amenities are wonderful, from the towels and bathrobes to the snacks in the room and the modern bathroom facilities. We didn’t eat breakfast but it looked and smelled great, and coffee was available any time in the kitchen. Terrace is also a lovely place to relax. Location is perfect for walking around Condesa and Roma, and short easy Uber from most other places you might want to go. Would absolutely stay again.

This is place is not a three star hotel is an over priced bed and breakfast! The water coming through the pipes were yellow, the shower pressure was so low that you could hardly wash your hair! There is water problem in Condesa area but the yellow water was due to old pipes! The room that was advertised as junior suite was so small that you could hardly move around. The double room was for a single person not a couple! There is no 24/7 reception! I arrived early morning and the place didn’t expect me to arrive until 11am! ( my fault as I didn’t check the flight times properly) but then had to wait for 20min at 5:30 am to finally wake a gentleman up to let me in! He was nice enough to immediately accommodate me but the rooms weren’t cleaned throughly. Next day they did cleaned the rooms though! The staff were friendly and overall everyone very polite!

Well located hotel near Contremar, a great restaurant a few blocks away. Also walking distance to the tourist bus which is a nice way to start your stay in the city, I loved the good attention to detail with cool art and decorative pieces throughout. The rooms are not large at all but very comfortable and make up with good decoration and style, Very friendly and helpful people at the front desk. I would stay there again and highly recommend la Palomilla!

BEWARE! THIEVES! Our spare wallet was stolen from our backpack, that was packed away deeply in the room. The wallet contained some money and some credit cards. The worst part of our loss was they also stole our permanent residency cards which will be very difficult to replace. The hotel did not have the room safe open when we arrived and I was foolish enough not to take the extra step to have the staff open the safe the next day (my fault... but we were busy and too trusting). I heard from the staff that robberies have happened here before and that management needed to fire several employees. It looks like they will have to go down the same path to prevent future problems. DO NOT STAY HERE. We also had some minor issues with the hot water and a boiler that kept firing all night long that kept us up but those problems were actively worked and resolved during our stay.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at La Palomilla. The host was really nice and even left breakfast out for us after we overslept the regular breakfast hours. The place was clean and in a great location. The doors are rather thin so you can hear some noise/echoes from inside the building, but nothing crazy. The shower pressure one day was very light and it took a long time for the water to get warm. On subsequent days the shower worked beautifully, so perhaps this was a fluke. All in all a wonderful stay at a wonderful place in CDMX!

We had a great 4 nights stay at La Palomilla It's a truest personal little boutique hotel with very welcoming and friendly staff. Breakfast is freshly made every morning, local mexican style. the only disappointing thing was that the rooms were quite small, but the staff said they are working on a better solution with their architect to accommodate guests in the future. we had a little trouble fitting our hand luggage open on the floor, it was that small. Otherwise, I great hotel surrounded by many great bars, restaurants in one of CDMX coolest new neighborhoods.

Rooms were new but small (kept hitting my head on wall decor). Bathroom was great. This is an old hotel which was renovated, they did a nice job but they do not advertise that the bathroom is OUTSIDE your room. For 159 dollars it's crazy to have get dressed in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. Also the electrical wiring is old , so the heater for the room did not work, so I was cold all night. If you can get this hotel for $50 a night , that is what is worth. No a penny more.
