Helpful and attentive, happy staff in a laid back, small scale, yet a bit elevated setting. Just perfect for a getaway.

The staff is just amazing. We enjoyed the garden bungalow, we think this is more peaceful. Food was good. Nice relaxing place.

I had a good stay, but this place is a bit off the beaten path with not a lot near it. If you plan on exploring a lot, I would book somewhere else. Everything else was great though.

Very nice hotel. Not cheap but that helps keep a good crowd. No visitors were rude or hollering, unlike other AI resorts. Beach was nice. Easy to find sunbathing chairs. Beachfront restaurant was fantastic. Food was great. Access to the hotel from the road is not great - road is bumpy and through a back alley. Staff was great. Polite, personable, friendly. Taco night and barbecue nights were fantastic. Need more dinner nights on the beach patio!!!

We absolutely loved Petit Lafitte. The vibe was complete relaxation and connection with nature. Breakfast and dinner were included and the food was delicious.

I come here for long solo vacation weekends. Great property. Amazing staff and the food is perfect. If you like to swim the water in front of the property is very rocky and not suitable for swimming but you can walk the shore and find better areas. I just need the occasional foot dip and for it to be pretty to look at, so perfect for me.

So i liked the staff, they are lovely and try to be as helpful as possible, the hotel does the job… and is romantic for couples but there are allot of things that need improvement… 1. Hot water is up and down, sometimes its barely luke walm sometimes a little just over luke warm in rooms… 2. The al-carte meals, pastries are nice and bread but we stayed two weeks and had allot of repeat meals which we wouldn't mind if they were delicious but portions are small, and main meals i am not gonna lie some if the worst i have tasted… their starter salads were nice, then their soups were touch and go often overly salted, most of the soups had doritos in them not a fan otherwise they would be a cream soup… main meals overly salted and could have been cooked with some flavour like garlic and lemon or something but just salty mostly… desserts and pastries were nice and they make their bread on premises… Options for vegans or if you wanted something outside of the meals of the evening, no alternate options… they should have a menu to order… but prices for anything not included pretty hefty… 3. Limited entertainment options, would be nice if hotel had its own team renting out paddle boards water toys and things… 4. The beach itself not good for basic swimming but great for snorkelling its rocky and dangerous as we snorkled we spotted rays, rock fish and eales amongst that star fish, angel fish and many others…so be careful on this rocky beach… but if you like snorkelling its great…

I loved my stay at Petit Lafitte ! It was everything I was looking for - everyone on the staff was kind and welcoming and made my stay incredible. I will definitely be back to stay in the bungalows and enjoy more tasty food and drinks. Thank you again, Petit Lafitte & staff for everything!

Intimate hotel 15 minute drive away from the main strip. If you are after a little bit of paradise away from the hubbub of daily life this is it!!

We just spent a long weekend at Petit Lafitte and it was incredible! 🌴✨ We didn’t want one of those huge all-inclusive resorts, and this place was exactly what we were hoping for — intimate, peaceful, and full of charm, yet family friendly. Waking up right on the beach and being able to step just a few feet into the water felt like a dream. The beach is a little rocky right in front, but if you walk up or down the shore, you’ll find plenty of spots for a swim. The water is warm and it was such a treat to start the day with the sunrise and wind down with the sunset. The half board option was an unexpected bonus that made things easy, especially since the hotel isn’t right in centro Playa del Carmen. Every meal was delicious, and the setting made it even more special. The staff were wonderful — so kind, welcoming, and incredibly hardworking. They’re there day and night, and it made us appreciate the experience even more, especially since this was a quiet and restorative getaway for us after working so much. Rurik and Edgar kept the fun going at the bar, Anna at reception greeted us so warmly, Mr. Manuel and his restaurant team made meals memorable, and Alexandro at the gate added such a personal touch. Petit Lafitte truly has a magic you don’t find everywhere. We honestly didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to return!

Wonderful boutique hotel. Perfect for people that want chilled out calm. Space to relax. Wonderful staff, we loved our room - a beachfront bungalow. Half board, 4 courses for dinner and a wide breakfast choice. All delicious.
