Posada Yolihuani

We really like the place. It is our kind of place, very quiet and close to the plaza while being slightly out of the 'El Centro" region. It is only a short walk to the plaza. We don't usually eat motel breakfasts but do here as it is very good and healthy to boot. The place is absolutely gorgeous with a coy pond and lots of plants.

Wonderful hotel. Very personal service. Felt like we were welcomed into our host's home. Excellent homemade breakfast. Highly recommended.

The Hotel is closed by downtown and Restaurants Nice Hotel.

Always a great stay!!! This is our place to stay in Pátzcuaro

My wife and I are travelling Mexico this winter. We wanted to spend time in the magical town of Patzcuaro. Hotel Posada Yolihuani is just a couple of blocks from the main square which is an amazing place, there always seems to be some interesting activity taking place This is a boutique type property with cozy rooms, lovely courtyards and lots of vegetation. The proprietors are a wonderful couple who are extremely helpful. Their staff are very friendly and capable. The amount of effort everyone contributed decorating for this christmas was amazing. The proprietors are very knowledgable of the town and area and can recommend many things of interest and contacts for tours etc . Highly recommend this property.

We spent 2 nights at the hotel and found it to be a wonderful experience. The innkeepers and staff were so helpful. The town square is a short walk and the accomodations exceeded our expectations.

What place was just absolutely amazing. Great customer service simple book perfect breakfast beautiful town to be around. In the architecture of the building is amazing.

First, the negative-Squeaky bathroom door and the exhaust fan needed maintenance & cleaning. Now for the praise-We felt welcome every moment, almost as if we instantly became part of the family. No pretense anywhere. And the coffee they serve was really, really, good.

The place is unique, really nice, quiet, great staff and very clean. Breakfast was fantastic, I do highly recommend it.

A very peaceful place to collect one's self. The tri-lingual manager stands out as one who is always on top of things, and does so with charm and amicability

This hotel is very centrally located. This is it's good feature. Rooms are very old, I estimate at least 65 years oldand have not been very well maintained. All doors, windows, floors, bathroom fixtures were defective or on the verge of breaking. This includes all locks, latches and hinges. None of the windows or doors were weatherproof or soundproof, which made for particularly cold, humid and noisy rooms. The hotel advertises as pet-friendly. However, pet rooms are not designated so you may end up with a room which has a definite pet smell. Windows have no blinds, so lights from corridors cannot be blocked. Standard hotel amenities are not present. Such as air conditioning or heating in the rooms, so no way to clean the atmosphere or dry the air in the room. There is no parking at this hotel, although you may park at the very narrow, sloped street at your own risk. There is paid parking nearby, but with very limited capacity. The hotel advertises free WiFi, but the existing one has extremely poor quality of service. I was unable to connect throughout my entire stay. There is not staffed reception or regular service. You may have to wait for someone to appear at the reception desk and no chance of asking for extra linens afterhours, for example. Showers are extremely loud. You cannot hold a conversation in our room if the neighboring room's shower is being used. Linens, pillows and towels have a moldy smell. There are many other better places to stay in Patzcuaro.

This is a lovely property in a great location near lots of shopping and restaurants. Breakfast was good and staff friendly . We would definitely stay at Posada Yolhuani again

Our stay was wonderful. Check in was ready and waiting for us. Eric and Balam were both very helpful in giving us advice on nearby pueblos. The room was comfortable and authentic....the grounds beautiful. I will stay there again and highly recommend it.

Located a block from the Plaza Grande, with beautifully done courtyard. The room was large and very clean with everything we needed. Eric speaks Spanish, French, and English, and was very helpful in planning some of our activities. The coffee was excellent and the pastries were wonderful. We really enjoyed Semana Santa, and staying here made it easy and comfortable.

This is a lovely, small, hotel located within walking distance of the town plaza and once patios. The spacious room is tastefully decorated and the king bed comfortable. The genteel host serves coffee in the morning but if you want more you must take the short hike down the hill to a restaurant on the square. They have wi-fi but no tv. There was plenty of hot-water for my morning shower and each room is equipped with fresh water and there is more in the corridor. The only thing they lacked that I needed was Kleenex, a small quibble.

The hotel is a bit rustic, but comfortable. We enjoyed talking to the owners.
