Secrets Huatulco Resort & Spa - Adults Only - All Inclusive

The property needs a little touch ups it is a nice resort but the walls in some areas are dirty, the live music by hallway was to loud for people that wants to go to sleep early

Its was ok but there was a spiders when we checked in, and we talked to the staff to changed the room and they told that i have to pay 500 dlls to give another room

The resort and its employees were excellent. However a taxi that the hotel requested took us to a two stores of his choosing that charged ridiculous prices. He refused to take us to a store of our choosing citing “lack of quality “ at the other stores. The shirt my wife overpaid for was of terrible quality and shoddy workmanship. Be careful of the cab drivers

Wonderful place to stay with phenomenal staff! Surrounding areas are extremely welcoming and friendly!

The service and meals at the restaurants were incredible. Also the entertainment was great and friendly. However the food served at events was below the quality of the restaurants and meagre at best. The building also clearly lacks maintenance (there are cracks and holes in some walls and rooftops; and our room had water leaking from the shower). Finally, they don’t always update their menus and events (e.g. one day they said they were going to have coconuts at 1pm by the pool but when we approached the staff there they did the supplier hadn’t given them any coconuts for a while)

Disappointing Stay at Secrets Huatulco – Not Up to Expectations We recently stayed at Secrets Huatulco, and unfortunately, the resort did not live up to the usual standards we expect from Secrets resorts. Although advertised as a luxury destination, this is more of a 3-star experience. Upon arrival, we were immediately taken aback by the frayed towels and bath mats in our room. Additionally, the swim-up pool had a broken umbrella, and we found open peanuts in the nightstand drawer, which was a little concerning. Even worse, we discovered clumps of hair around the room, which is certainly not the cleanliness one should expect from a "luxury" resort. Room service also left much to be desired. Our orders were consistently wrong, adding to the frustration. The resort also seemed to lack the lively atmosphere that typically defines a vacation destination. Many of the bars close by 9 pm, and the entertainment is over early, which gave the whole place a rather subdued, almost retirement village vibe. We were usually back in our room by 9 or 10 pm, which was quite disappointing for a getaway. On a positive note, the staff were polite and helpful throughout our stay. The spa was another highlight, though we were initially put off by the high cost. Had we been offered a promotional deal earlier in our stay, we likely would have visited the spa more frequently, but we only took advantage of it on our second-to-last day. Overall, Secrets Huatulco fell short of our expectations.

Beach pools staff rooms all first class. There is A LOT of walking and stairs to be considered if mobility is an issue.

This was our first time in Huatulco. We loved the town. We've stayed at multiple Secrets Resorts and have been wanting to visit this one. It wasn't as nice as the others but it was still okay. We kept hearing a loud odd noise all through the day and all throughout the night. It sounded like a type of ceremony or ritual was being held. Come to find out, it was a noise from an ice machine. I'm not sure why the resort would be okay with having something that loud for the guests to hear all day/night. It was extremely annoying while trying to sleep. The hotel guests would get up early in the morning and claim chairs by the pool and beach. So, if you sleep in, forget about getting a spot by the pool or beach. Also, we would have to wait for beach towels at 7am. We still enjoyed our trip but this resort is not the Secrets quality we've experience from other Secrets.

High Pressure vacation membership should be avoided. It lasted 3 hours NOT 90 minutes!

This resort was very clean and staff were friendly. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants. The food was okay… nothing to write home about. I also was annoyed with the many people trying to get us to “go to breakfast” to sign for the Hyatt deal. Only so many times I can say no before you start getting angry. But overall we enjoyed the stay. The weather was amazing. Nightlife could have more shows but they try to have some activity at night. It was a lovely stay just with some irks.

We checked out today (room 2107). We were so sad to leave. Our time there was unforgettable! The people we met, the hardworking staff, the entertainment, and of course the beautiful location were unbeatable! We especially want to highlight Alejandro and Alejandra - both did excellent at water aerobics! Thank You!

This is a great place to visit! Very clean and everyone is attentive and welcoming. The facility’s layout is a little odd and not organized but easily learned.

Issues with getting lounges around the pool and at the ocean. People leave their towels on the chairs and never seem to show up. Also towels are hard to get sometimes.

Pros: -location of property and views -friendly staff -lots of activities offered -mezcal tasting was excellent -spa was amazing -paddle boarding was wonderful with friendly staff -snorkeling -buffet food was always good -loved the jacuzzi tub on balcony and in room -staff was attentive with drink service in pools and at swim up bar -lots of musical activities/shows -gorgeous beach area Cons -Room 2123 was very close to nightly entertainment and very loud between the hours of 8:30pm and 11pm. Also the air conditioner noise was loud as well. -Drinks were hit or miss. If you got a good bar tender then the drinks were amazing. -The food at the majority of the restaurants was average at best. Oceana was the exception along with the desserts from Castaway. -The beach was beautiful and we loved swimming there, but the sand was very coarse and so hot we got burns on our feet. Take flip flops to wear. -Many of the activities for the spa were not listed online in detail. When asked if we needed to bring anything for our hydro spa experience we were told no (just a swim suit). Unfortunately, the treatment was outside and we needed sun screen and sun glasses prior to continuing our service for our personal comfort. -It is very difficult to get a chair at the pool or spa unless you reserve chairs with personal belongings before 8am. -there was a condom wrapper found under our bed -no bathroom at beach -see through shower and bathroom with little privacy in room.
