Villa Pescadores Tulum

Unfortunately we found this place to be very disappointing. While some staff members were friendly and kind, management is dishonest and highly unprofessional. On our last night we returned to our room to find the power worked for everything except for the AC, which is essential in the 90+ degree heat. We messaged staff and no one was available, and security came to “help” then went back to sleep. There was something seriously sketchy about it. Great location within the national park really close to Tulum ruins, with a lovely rustic chic beach vibe. Despite sargassum on beach during our stay, the beach club is still a really pleasant place to while away time in the sun, particularly with excellent tacos and cocktails, attentively served by the friendly waiting staff.

Pros- the property is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and gorgeous. Breakfast is delicious. Staff is reasonably friendly. Cons- we paid $200 US extra for wristbands to be in the park. This is required with the stay.We were told if they asked at the gate, we could need another wristband per day. Aftet 2 days they dated our wristband. We decided to leave 2 days earlier instead of paying again. You NEED a car or scooter rental. The property is very far from everythimg, the walk to the gate is a long distance and taxi is expensive. We receievd very little information about the park or what the wristband offered. Whem we asked aboit the electirc shuttle, we were told some drivers might let us on them. There us lots and lots of sargasm, the beach was not usable. The rooms face each other with lots of windows, there is not much privacy. Lots of kids running around, throwing sand during dinner. We slept comfortably and ate well but left early. Do not stay on the lower level of the 2 level. It is very loud from above.

Wonderful stay

We loved our stay at Villa Pescadores! The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. Thank you Vic, Bani, Francisco, David, Leo, Miguel, Ezequiel, and many more smiling faces whose name I didn’t catch. The location was peaceful and absolutely stunning. We rented e-bikes on the days we wanted to check out other areas in Tulum. Overall the perfect trip!

Property was beautiful very peaceful. Staff was excellent! Place was very clean. Lighting in bathroom could be brighter and need curtain or something to go over opening in bathroom

Our stay was absolutely perfect! The room was spotless and comfortable even better than the description and pictures. We both had a blast going to the tulum ruins and having a light breakfast everyday by the ocean. Staff was super nice and accommodating. Hands down one of my favorite trips ever thanks to Villa pescadores.

The facilities are in disrepair. Roofs leak, water works intermittently, bathroom sink is two rusty metal pipes with control levers pipe shut offs found in Home Depot, shower is an annex next to sink divided with curtain and a shower head pipe sticking out of ceiling with intermittent pressure and shifting temps. water controls are also rusty pipes with Home Depot style pipe shut offs.bathroom door doesn’t shut and the lock is busted, wait staff is HUSTLES!!! They work super hard from 7:30am - 9:30 pm in hot sun and sand and they are UNDERSTAFFED and the kitchen is SLOW. Almost all orders always take an average of an hour. Especially lunch and dinner. Breakfast can sometimes come out 10-15 minutes. Website said they were closed all summer for remodels. It looked as though 6/8 out of the 22 unites were updated. The rest of the places are in NEED of repair. Pictures on site do not reflect the 75% of property that charges $500-$700/night (peak season rates). If the rates were about $150/night it the I’d give this place a 3.5 stars. Also all taxi rides into town run a minimum starting price of $20/pp for round trip. Transport from airport to hotel is Seattle prices = $400 round trip

well I did not stay at Villa Pescadores at the last minute we were switched to AHUA hotel in tulum a sister resort. It was very charming with a great vibe and excellent service . small bungalows on the beach., oceanfront patio, we’re really nice . the beach was closed because if seaweed ! pool is very small but ok. The food was ok. but pricey. my two meals were so salty that I couldn’t eat them , the menu is odd , like they’re trying to hard to be eclectic.need a new chef ! So i opted only for breakfast / no salt , we then ate elsewhere. but service was amazing! Sergio our waiter was the best , he remembered our names our food our drinks ! 15-17$ drinks !!! ! I was refunded a night because rain came in our room and under the slider flooding the floor. good thing it was our last night there. nice zen atmosphere but hotels to the left and right played LOUD banging music until 4 am on fri/ sat nights it was heard from our beds!!

The room was really clean and nice. The staff was very nice and informative on activities and dinner options.

Really liked this place. Beautiful, great view, massage, service, food and drinks. Didn't know that they turn the AC off during the day but if you ask them, they can leave yours on.
