Villas HM Paraiso del Mar

We loved our stay at the Villas. The Villa we were in had three different units which appeared to be typical of the other villas too. It was in a jungle-type setting with beautiful tropical plants, and even iguanas. My only caveat, we were in a unit on the third floor. The stairs up to the unit were winding, like climbing a lighthouse. We are in our 70’s and were able to do it, but I could certainly see where it would be very difficult for “older” folks or dangerous for children. So, be careful what you book. We didn’t know that was what we were going to get. Our unit didn’t have any type of balcony either which I missed. But it looked recently decorated and was clean and lovely. The beach was wonderful with plenty of lounge chairs for everyone.

The staff was very helpful and were attentive to any requests. The room was beautiful and spotlessly cleaned every day. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast daily and there was always a good variety of options including made to order eggs and Mexican specialties. The grounds and the beach club are amazing and the location allows for an easy walk to the centre of town. Highly recommend!

Just add towel rack in the rooms. Excellent hotel otherwise!

Great stay. Amazing staff, great food and clean room. Only complaint is guests/tourists that are self centered, rude and demanding with staff. Please be nicer to other humans.

The beds were very hard. The chairs on the patio were not comfortable. It was a very long 10 day stay. I would not stay here again or recommend it to someone I like.

Disfrutemos mucho estar el Holbox y hospedarnos en HM. El cuarto super comodo y tranquilo, el hotel esta a pie de playa y el mar esta HERMOSO!!! El check in fue muy facil. El desayuno esta super bien. La comida y cena esta rica pero le falta variedad.Las bebidas muy sabrosas. Erick en el bar de la alberca nos atendio super bien, muy amable. Dar un paseo en bici estuvo super. Sin duda regresariamos al hotel.

First off, We are experienced travelers who have been to many resorts in Mexico. By far, this island is one of the best and the local people and food and atmosphere were absolutely wonderful, but the hotel staff were not. First off, I paid a $165 dollar deposit to lock in the room for over a month. Multiple times I received emails verifying that I paid, and that I only owed $535 when I got to the hotel. When we go to the hotel, the front desk staff were not very nice, it was about 8:45 pm and for some reason they act like they are so busy and running a the entire hotel by themself. I was aware of the local tax, but I had to pay an additional $250 cash that I brought on top of the $500 taken from my card. Apparently, the $165 deposit was never taken. I didn't have time to argue, just a bad situation since cash is scarce on the island and I already had top fork out a substantial amount that I brought. Second, staff is the most unfriendly people I have ever met, never saying hi when you pass them, couldn't even show us to our room and all they do is point in a direction if you ask for something. Never getting off their seat to show you. I have never been to a hotel where you don't befriend staff, we even speak spanish and appreciate all they do, nope not these people. NEED HELP WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thirdly, they charge for everything you could think of. Every item you use, towels, extra blankets, sodas in fridge they want a credit card on file. Food no good!

The property was very nice and really kept up everyday. Every morning all the walkways were freshly raked.

We had a very pleasant stay at Villas Paraiso Del Mar. The staff was friendly and attentive, always making us feel welcome. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the property is beautifully maintained with lush, well-kept grounds. The pool was great! Our stay included breakfast, which offered a nice variety of choices and was a great way to start the day. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

This property was great! Family friendly 2 pools snack bar a restaurant and very friendly and attentive staff! Special thanks to Erick from the bar/beach service he really went above and beyond to take care of all of our needs during our stay.

Had an amazing stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The location couldn’t be better—right on the beach with stunning views. Housekeeping did a fantastic job keeping everything spotless and fresh. As for the food and drinks, the tacos were absolutely delicious and the cocktails were on point. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing beach getaway with top-notch service!

access to the beach is great, but the hotel needs alot of work, bathroom was not clean, furniture needs upgrade. our AC broke in the middle of the night and front desk closes so nobody was there to help us. Also you NEED ID's for all your kids if not provide you will NOT be able to get your room. they do not note this before hand.

We liked the location. The rooms were nicely decorated with true Mexican architecture. The beach was nice. Staff was very good. But.... The food was not great. The coffee was terrible. The rooms had no towel bar or hook to hang towels or a bathing suit. Zero. No face towels either. An extra bath mat/towel for right when you walk into the room would be nice.

Food was so so, we picked all inclusive option and the menu wasn’t actually “all inclusive”. Servers near the beach were great 5/5. As well as the bar near the beach. The rooms were very clean.
