Grumbly unhelpful staff, slightly seedy streets late at night, no beer late at night, taxi drivers refused to use their own meters, Casa people were harsh and complaining and sweaty, and the breakfast (which was delicious) had dirty tablecloths. When I asked one of the porters about dinner at the hotel, he said, "Eat outside the hotel." The room was clean, however, and the price was cheap for Casa. Definitely not "4 stars"

Good location but not up to western standards. I left a paid-for room to stay in a 5-star hotel instead. TV was small. Bed, pillows, and towels not comfy. Furniture was super stained, wall paint flaking off due to a water leak I guess by bathroom. No lid on step-on garbage can. No battery compartment cover on tv remote. Included breakfast was minimal and flys all over the sweets on buffet. Room was so dark and bathroom not much better.

How on earth can this hotel be rated 4*.no fridge in room on arrival, door key had to be changed twice a day.no menu for half hoard customers.half the time there the second lift did not function.this hotel only caters for transient guests as the menu is virtually the same every day.I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.it would be very generous to give it 1*

We were completely disappointed. Although efforts were made to keep the hotel clean, linens were old and yellowed. Walls needed painting. Everything was just sad. Pictures must have been taken 40-50 years ago in glory days. Completely false representation of the hotel. Would not recommend to other friends. And it was not great value

I was apprehensive about this place as the reviews aren't great. However, there was an excellent deal, so I snapped it up. I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were helpful and courteous, the room was spotless (if a little small) and comfortable, everything worked fine and I like this part of town with its many bars and restaurants, as well as the shopping a short distance away at the "Prince", a pedestrianised precinct. OK, nothing is new at the hotel, neither in the rooms nor in the public areas. It all looks a bit dowdy. But it's clean. And what can anyone expect for the price? If the same deal happened in the future, I'd stay here again.

The hotel is not easy to locate if you are driving from the auto route. Do not bother asking for directions, because the answer is always "straight ahead". On check-in, the receptionist was outstanding; the receptionist spoke English, French and some Wolof. However, from that point forward, the quality of our stay declined. First, the sheets on our bed were not clean, the flooring was unkept, and the cracked window never opened. Of course, housekeeping changed the bedding. Later in the evening, my husband and I went to the dining room for dinner. We sat at the assigned table for approximately 10 minutes before anyone asked for our order. It was not that they didn't know we were there. Once served, we felt rushed to finish our meal and leave. The staff apparently had problems communicating in French or English, because each time we requested something it was not delivered as requested. Needless to say, our stay was less than romantic.

Casablanca can be a little rough around the edges but this hotel was well situated and close to the pedestrian mall. Most bars and coffee shops in Casablanca are NOT for women. This hotel has a very nice bar and restaurant on the first floor where you can have a quiet drink hassle free.

Our room was on the 7th Floor (8th in America) and facing the street. The street is fairly noisy. (As is the bar on the first floor!) We asked for a king-sized bed but got two doubles. Fortunately the room was clean, even though the shower head was slightly damaged and sprayed funny. The doorman was fantastic--he saw us walking on the street away from the hotel and stopped just to make sure he was OK. However, the man at the desk in the afternoon was sketchy: he quoted me one price until it became apparent that I was going to use a credit card, and then the price suddenly dropped. He also failed to inform the morning staff that we had extended our stay and in the afternoon he sent another couple to our room after they had checked in. Finally, he had the gall to ask for a tip. Breakfast was fairly expensive for as little as the offered--merely a continental breakfast. It was easy to get around from the hotel though, so the location was nice.

Good location but that's about it. Very noisy surroundings (even on the 9th floor) as the windows sound like they are open when in fact closed. Didn't get the room as specified by my confirmation with hotels.com: two singles instead of double, not pull-out sofa bed, tiny TV. Free wi-fi but didn't reach the room. Wasn't sure if breakfast was included so checked with reception (twice, in fact) who confirmed it was included) only to find out on checkout it's not, so got charged 100 MDS for each day for a pretty lousy breakfast. Reception very argumentative about it and started shouting even. Won't ever go back and thought to warn others of the same.

First the good news: check-in was efficient and friendly. Great command of English if you need it and seem hospitable to tourists. (I was there for work). Also thoughtful: despite my declining the offer for wake up call, I was called anyway-I'm guessing because they'd made me a 4:45 am taxi reservation & knew I'd need to be up insanely early. Room super clean and roomy, with everything you need; the bathroom exceeded my expectations. UNTIL, the next morning when I wanted to take a shower. NO hot water despite running the water for a few minutes. Throughout my short-as-possible shower, there was no indication it was heating up at all. Complaint to the front desk informed me that I should have just let the water run "5 minutes". The other big negative: my room faced the street, a noisy honking cacophony well into the wee hours of the morning. Perhaps if you requested a room on the other side of the hotel you will have better luck.
