What Guests Say About Their Stay

The riad is lovely, as lots of other reviews say it is a welcome bit of peace in amongst the crazy and sometimes overwhelming streets of Marrakesh. Really clean, beautifully made beds, really enjoyed the breakfast especially the lovely fresh orange juice. It was nice to lie in the sun on the sun loungers on the roof looking over the roof tops of the city. One thing - although we like to be independent on holidays, take the bus, find our own way etc it really is impossible to find. You can't just jump in a taxi as cars can't go down these streets and you could walk right past it and not notice. Every map we had bore little resemblance to the crazy streets and despite our best efforts we couldn't find the riad, had to ask someone, knew it would involve giving them some money but then had an awkward situation of them asking for more which we didn't have. My advice - however much you pride yourself on navigating your way in strange countries, you won't find this - get in touch with the hotel beforehand and let them know you will phone them when you get to a certain point (the Ben Youssef mosque is very close) and ask that they come and meet you. I'm fairly sure they'd do this.

"Nice place with rooms having interesting decor. Unfortunately, in our room the AC did not work. When I mentioned it to the manager at the end of our stay he said that we need to take the remote apart and jiggle the battery. I did not see any such instructions in the room. It was not a big deal, we opened the windows during the night. Also the drain in the shower did not work well, in no time you were standing in 10 cm water. If you pay $140 a night, you expect things to work. Furthermore, it is relatively difficult to get to and from the Riad if you have heavy luggage as the taxi cannot get anywhere close to this Riad. Carrying heavy luggage for 10-15 minutes in the hot Medina is no fun.

The narrow and dirty street entrance is quite deceiving - once you get inside, it's a beautiful house, with a patio and a rooftop terrace. All rooms are different, spacious and comfortable. The owner is a great host and the staff is very nice and helpful.

We stayed four nights in Riad Misria. I booked the luxury triple room because we want to enjoy and relax the holiday better. however, they gave us the economic standard double room instead. The first night we arrived was very late and we were too tired to realise it. The economic room was dirty and extremely small. It was not even in the main building. I spoke to the guy in the hotel on the third day and tried to ask for the room I paid for. But they told me that there are other customers stayed in my room and they cannot change it for me. They gave me a card and asked me to talk to the owner of the hotel myself. We got a bit upset because that was not the acceptable solution we expected. In the end of our stay, they cancel the bill of 2 beers we drunk, the taxi we took and provided a 20 euro off for the day trip to the mountains as a compensation for the mistake. It wasn’t perfect but it’s better than nothing. In summary, it wasn’t a pleasant stay and it kind of ruin our holiday a bit. Plus all those people walking around outside of the hotel will always try to lead you the way and charge ask for money, which is very annoying. And they said the “F” word if you don’t give them money.

Can't believe it is the 2nd hotel we found it by ourselves!!! You feel like victory because so many people want to guide you how to find your ways. The hotel location is very close to the souk and square, it's quite east to find compare to our other hotels. Super lovely & comfortable room, just the day we arrived the hotel has a electricity break down, there was no internet and light for a while but they tried to fix it as quick as possible. We expected to have sauna but due to the break down the service was out. 2,5eur / person / night will be charged as taxes after we paid the price at hotels.com, but I don't know how it works some hotels charge us while the other not. Great view on the terrace. It would have been perfect if there was no hitch.

Riad Misria is located in the centre of the medina, making it the perfect location for an authentic Moroccan experience. As soon as you exit Derb Anboub you are immersed in the souks of Marrakesh, which are filled with numerous treasures. The riad itself is beautifully restored and the owner, a frenchman, is extremely welcoming. We arrived late on our first night and were greeted by a traditional Moroccan tagine. The atrium in the centre of the riad is ideal for relaxing, and in particular the open air pool which is great for a refreshing dip after spending the day wandering the souks. There is an extensive terrace upstairs with many sun loungers for sunlovers. Overall, a lovely and authentic place to stay.

The welcome started with being met at the airport by a friendly taxi driver who handed us over to the riad staff to lead us to the riad, the archetypal peaceful oasis in a bustling city. Our traditional, comfortable room led immediately off the inner courtyard. Everything was immediately to hand: the courtyard where breakfast was served, a small pool and a rooftop terrace offering views over the city and to the mountains beyond. The riad experience as opposed to a larger hotel meant that the service was very attentive, friendly and personal. Although we only took breakfast, other meals were on offer and excursions could also be booked. We would love to return to Marrakech, and Riad Misria will be the first address.

Great location right in the old town, fantastic attentive & polite staff, upgraded to a beautiful room. Breakfast was lovely and they even put on a breakfast for us super early the morning we departed. They offer a transfer service to and from the airport, welcome you with Moroccan mint tea and gladly attended to all our needs. The hotel is located right next to the souks, only 10 mins walk from the main square. Can't wait to go back!!

Lovely stay - the staff were really friendly and welcoming and organised some excursions for us as a week was really too long to just be in Marrakech! When we arrived the air con unit was a bit patchy, but they had a new one in that afternoon. Would definitely recommend!

From the moment staff met us at the Taxi drop off and walked us to the Riad to the moment we were returned to the same location to depart 4 days later we felt like family! Very accommodating to requests for information and amenities. Spent a lot of time speaking with Yousef in regards to many different traditions in the Moroccan culture that we were unfamiliar with. Great location near the Souks and main square. A bit tricky to find on your own but if you set up transportation through the Riad then you will be guided directly to the door by staff. The facilities are amazing and comfortable. Hard to believe its in the center of all the chaos of old town Marrakech. Very peaceful! Breakfast was amazing every morning and we even did dinner one evening which was just as spectacular. Highly recommend this Riad and am actually working on booking it for my family in a few months. Thank you again for all your assistance in making our stay absolutely amazing!

This was a perfect end to a fantastic adventure holiday. My sole purpose of booking this Riad was to relax and unwind after my trek to MT Toubkal. I was able to do that completely. My room was out of this world (a free upgrade to a suite) my friends cMe over one night and we relaxed on the roof terrace. Michele (the owner) was extremely polite and the Youseff and Azid were very helpful and couldn't do enough for me. I took advantage of the Hammam which was lovely and had it been a little cheaper I would have had a massage too. Breakfast was lovely although I was poorly on my second night and so couldn't take full advantage of it the second morning. The downside would be being so close to the mosque however that is unavoidable in the Medina it didn't sisturb me personally but j can understand how it can some people. Having seen a few there riads I think the main sitting area/forecourt could do with some colour and maybe a bit more arty paintwork but this again is a personal thing and if Michele does not wish to have this it is not a failing. Also the alleyway into the road is dark and off the beacon track but so are a lot of them. Taxi is a short walk away for your airport but I used the hotels taxi service to get to the airport and it was fabulous. I walked there to check in with three bags and survived! Overall a great place and if you want to work your way around the alleyways get yourself a wifi/3G free app and go for it I had no trouble.

I loved staying at this Riad from the owner to the employees everyone was friendly , welcoming they treat you so well that you just don't want to leave . The area of the hotel is ok is rigth in the Medina , when we arrive our first thought was we are leaving because we got there so late at night and it looks scary but as soon as you open the doors of the Riad you go wow I don't want to leave then in the morning when they serve you breakfast you feel like you are visiting your friends and they just want to give you all they have that home feeling is priceless I will go back to Marakesh and this Riad Misria is the one i will stay again and again . The experience you will get here u will not get it anywhere else . I had no idea what to expect about a Riad since I was only staying in Hotels but this one was awesome I have no words to describe our gratitude with Michel. One thing if you ever feel unsafe as a woman solo traveler just ask them for help , try to book your airport transfers and tours with them in advance . The best thing we have done

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Riad Misria!! I've stayed at many top star hotels around the World and I would say this beautifully decorated , intimate boutique hotel is my favourite of all. The intricate Moroccan themed decor and location of the hotel is captivating and immediately immerses you in the culture and atmosphere of Marrakech. Additionally , the owner Michelle went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was as comfortable as possible , even marking a map to assist us in navigating through the Souks , whilst also recommending good restaurants and landmarks to visit. We also had the pleasure to be assisted by one of the Riad's staff Youssef who equipped us with his local knowledge and things to look out for as well as general lovely conversation. This is honestly a top notch hotel and I would recommend it to anyone!

During my stay there was a weeding going on for almost entire day and noise lasted until 1 AM. Could not enjoy or relax my stay in riad. Apart from that, service was welcoming and my room comfortable, however air-conditioning was poor.
