We only stayed one night. It’s a beautiful setting and feels safe from the hawkers outside. Every corner is occupied with an artefact or embellishment. the courtyard is beautiful and the light breakfast had plenty of local treats.i didn’t see any television, which was an advantage, but the wifi worked well.

Unpleasant, aggressive staff in a hostel located in a dodgy part of the Medina. The alleyways are lined with drug dealers. "Private" bathrooms are separate from the sleeping rooms, across public hallways and staircases. No shampoo, no soap, no amenities provided. Just grubby towels. Rooms are cold, spartan and unclean. Grubby linens, broken lights, no furniture to speak of, no seating, no TV, no safe. No drinking water provided. The manager is a very nasty woman with a very nasty temper who won't accept any criticism of her precious hostel and will email you abuse while you're sitting in your room. It's all a very unpleasant experience.

The location is excellent for exploring the medina, but out of the way if one wants to go on day excursions. The facility itself is excellent with a great breakfast, and good wifi, If one is directionally challenged, one would find it difficult staying here.

Riad was very hard to find, but later found that every time we went back to it in a small red taxi, (very cheap to take) we just said take us to the Hotel Palais Faras in Ziat, which was just round the corner. We had booked 2 rooms for 3 nights which were clean enough but the bathrooms were not very well maintained with the tiniest sinks and bathtubs which did not meet our needs. On the first day we had beautiful white towels, on the second we had not so nice coloured ones and on the third day, they were appalling! My sister in law's were torn! We didn't know what to expect from a Riad. A Riad is a house without outside windows from the rooms, built because in the olden days, the men of the household were very possessive of their women and did not want them to see the outside world. There was a courtyard where we could sit for fresh air, but it was still very claustrophobic. On booking a Riad one must remember that it's a house where the owner and their family live too. For us, family members with children were visiting until the late hours and were very noisy. Management recommended places for us to see, and were told everywhere was within walking distance but it wasn't. We really missed the experience of a hotel offering information about local places to visit and excursions. We also felt we had to be cautious walking in the Madina.

What a beautiful Riad! Fabulous traditional mosaic tiles, central courtyard with orange trees and fountain. Our hostess Rajae was very welcoming and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable with heater and extra blankets provided as still a bit nippy at night in early March. We had a delicious evening meal of salads, chicken tagine and fruits and hearty breakfast including excellent homemade jams. Would definitely stay again

This place was a little difficult to find but well worth paying a few dirhams for guidance. This was by far the best Riad we stayed in throughout our time in Morocco, which was a shame because we only had one night there. We were greeted by the sweetest young lady who immediately brought us tea and have a brief introduction of the Riad itself. We were able to see many of the rooms and can honestly say each one was beautiful and in great condition. You would do well to stay in any of their rooms. Breakfast was a nicer version of the typical Moroccan breakfast-- bread heavy with assorted jams butter and honey.

We were really disappointed by the Riad. It was too cold (in winter) even if there are some portable heaters inside the house. The price is too high for what you get! We were in another Riad of similar price in Rabat-Salé and it was excellent. Moreover, I would not recommend it to families with young children. The food is excellent, but the owners cannot understand that a child does not eat as much as an adult. We went with two young children and when we wanted a meal for the two, they gave us a single fork, a single dish and even a single glass! The second night we reserved the meal for the four of us and there was plenty of food left. What a pitty :(
