De Sluiskop

I came over for a surprise 65th Birthday Party and could not find a taxi to the venue. The Sluiskop management took me there in the hotel van. Talk about going the extra mile - fantastic.

This family-owned hotel has been in the same family for 70 years, as I learned when I spoke with the owner. The quaint village of Pernis served as an historic backdrop for our stay at DeSluiskop. An old fashioned Dutch stairway led us to our 2nd floor room overlooking the beautiful village. The room was very clean, small, but adequate. The beds were firm and comfortable. The duvet was pure white and very soft and warm. The bathroom was small but clean with a good hot shower. A kettle in the room was a very nice touch as we truly enjoy our morning coffee. A very nice breakfast buffet was offered. As I was ready to check out, I asked the owner which way to the bus, as we had no car. She saw that we had 4 pieces of large luggage and offered to take us to the metro station in her car. I was amazed, and truly grateful for her kindness and generosity. We not only enjoyed the lovely room, we also received personal service from the very kind owners. I will never forget the DeSluiskop and the fine people who are the owners. Thank you so much.

This isn't your typical tourist spot. It's tucked away in a small village outside Rotterdam, but it is a wonderful slice of real Dutch life. Locals are super friendly, service is great. If you want to run into R everyday, get a car. But if you want a quiet day or two to unwind, you can't do better. Rooms are simple, but the food is great.

Booked hotel late for late arrival. We arrived at 2:30 and nobody answered phone or door. Had to find another hotel in middle of night. Called hotel in morning and got very unpleasant and rude comments. Lies about tel number on door. No refund or apologies. Never consider to stay there!

Bought breakfast all 3 days, I extended my stay an extra night. Small town atmosphere, but with plubic transportation near by.

Hotel offers great restaurant service. Beds are comfy, rooms are very clean and there is free parking. Only problem is that the walls are paper thin and you can hear people in the rooms and corridors. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Femme de ménage qui gueule au oreille dès le réveil et te met la pression pour faire la chambre et ceux même si les clients sont toujours pas parti.

Super tolles Hotel und Restaurant. Biersommelier !! Sehr schade, dass in Zuknuft keine Hunde mehr mitgebracht werden dürfen.

They had no rooms for us available. The staff was unprepared for anyhting.

Eenvoudige kamer, goede bedden en vriendelijk personeel. Ontbijt was goed en de koffie lekker.

Wszystko w porządku, tylko brak klimatyzacji był uciążliwy, przy temperaturze powyżej 20 stopni.

Gezellig hotel met vriendelijke mensen.. Heel leuke ontvangst zelfs na 25 jaar.. Lekker ontbijt, niks op aan te merken...alles wat je nodig hebt, is er meer dan genoeg Aanrader om terug te komen, maar deze keer zal het geen 25 jaar duren.😉😉😉
