I wonder which institution determines the number of stars because with regard to this hotel Fletcher Marijke in Bergen, people are quite wrong. The small room was known but a bathroom of very minimal size, no cold shower water, no balcony, no air conditioning or mechanical ventilation in the room, mattresses too soft, parking fee 7.50 per day, no swimming pool, you wonder where it is 4 star rating ? comes from. That will not only be based on the staff and breakfast because that was great !

Our negative note concerns the quality of the service during dinner with eight persons: they forgot the two entree’s, forgot to bring water asked for, bad manners in serving plates. Furthermore the quality of the wine (Labeled Fletcher, grape Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon) was poor and considering the price of around euro 27, was a clear rip off. The retail price -if for sale- would have been maybe three euro’s, I guess. Breakfast is good, ambience we do like.
