The rooms were not so quiet

The pillows were clearly horrible, square like the ones you put on a couch. The bedding was too small for the single beds. Even when you order a double bed room you get two single beds. There are no King size nor even queen size beds, just singles either solo, apart or together. The restaurant was empty at 6PM but when I wanted to dine there with my family we were refused and told to make a reservation with an earliest option of 8 PM! So we were forced to eat elsewhere. Pathetic! I needed an early checkout to travel to the airport so I settled my bills the night before, but was then told I still had to get to the front office in the morning to hand in the blanc key card. I couldn't just leave it in the room. When I came there at 5:30 the doors were locked and I had to wait for the night guard to arrive to hand the card to. Since it was winder the outside furniture and facilities are not kept up and are lying there in a state of derelict, where you'd be afraid to touch them, let alone walk, sit or play there. I am sure it'll be nice in summer, but it's only summer a few months a year in the Netherlands. There are still plenty of nice days the rest of the year, but they cannot be spent there.

Breakfast buffet, food was almost all gone by 9:30. very disappointed

Beautiful grounds, room a little dated, especially the balcony. Bar staff were very friendly, thank goddess as my room was not ready at 17:30 (that’s a first) Beautiful bar, lovely restaurant (breakfast Buffett was nice, not exceptional but sufficient. Overall I would use the word comfortable for this hotel. With a little updating and some schooling from the bar staff, I think this hotel in its stunning surroundings could be so much more..

Good location, clean rooms, perfect for business gatherings, bit outdated

It was a great stay - was happy with how clean the hotel was.

The room was smelling, the bedding seems old and even felt that the sheets and pillow covers were not changed. The bathroom floors were not clean and were stained. The bathroom was not cleaned at all as the shower bottles from the previous guest were left on the floor.

Beautiful grounds. Bar and bar staff were the best part of our stay. Front desk was very unhelpful. Could only eat in the hotel restaurant if we made reservations and we were told they were too busy to provide room service. Laundry was late and came back full of soap and still damp.

Terrible , no words can describe the horrible stay at this “4” star hotel, I’ve taken photos of it, it was that bad!!! At check out, no one was there, so I couldn’t even complain! Was asked to call a number, but no one answered I left a note to suggest a heavy discount, but at this point I am inclined to reverse the charges on my credit card

I really want to give the Avegoor a great review, but the interior rooms just don't match the incredible exterior. The staff is wonderful, I feel bad that they had to move me twice. But such a wonderfully historic building, this could be so much more!!

Well located for my activities in the small towns east of Arnhem. Nice facility with beautiful gardens and grounds and an outdoor patio off the bar. First-rate service throughout.

Rooms are a little tired, could do with redecoration. Dinner in the dining room is poor and overpriced. Breakfast is good. Dinner in the bar, (bar menu) is good. Location is good.

Beautiful area! The hotel is nice and has a decent breakfast. Rooms could be cleaner.. the carpet was very stained.
