The hotel was as advertised and is located in walking distance to many shops, restaurants, and museums. The facility was under renovation when I was there which made check in crowded. The stairs are steep and likely not an issue for younger travelers. I struggled a little with the stairs while carry my bags.

Wasn't the part of the hotel I booked , TV didn't work and let staff know on 1st day this wasn't rectified or sorted , wasn't made aware of on going construction works , would have booked else where

The hotel is currently a building site. Was not informed prior about construction works going on.
Construction noise from early morning.
Construction equipment and supplies at the entrance.
Reception area was a building site.
Scaffolding and workers outside our bedroom window.
Hotel common areas very dirty from construction.
Had no hot water in the bathroom sink. When I asked about this was told “you got the room at a good price, and don’t think cold water will be a problem for you. And maybe it’s just Ansterdam” Staff were not concerned about not having hot water!!! Bathroom also smelled very strongly of bleach on arrival which we later noticed was covering up the smell of old urine.
Was offered room at a sister hotel, but that was very dirty. Stains on bedroom walls and overall dirty.

It was just ok,
Wasn’t informed that it was a basement room at booking or I wouldn’t of booked to be honest
Very small window in room where no sunlight came into but had a window directly across from it with a light constantly shining in and you couldn’t cover the window and very bad lighting in the room also rubbish bins were not changed in room during stay.
The room was very noisy also you could hear every movement so no peaceful sleep was had
Wasn’t worth the money paid which was very disappointing

Overall a good stay! It was a capable walk with my luggage off of the train from the airport. Wonderful area with many restaurants, shops, market, cafe etc. All of the staff at the front desk were wonderful. I went at all different hours and everyone helped and answered my questions graciously. I stayed in Townhouse 816 and it was clean and comfortable. My only misunderstanding was not knowing there was different properties. So I had to carry my bags again across the street. Luckily I was only on the 1st floor so I didn’t have to carry my bags far but there is no elevator and the stairs are narrow so I felt bad for whomever was on the top floor. I also didn’t know the bathroom and shower were on separate floors. Not bad just different but you get used to it. Overall a good stay and would stay again.

The staff is friendly, and the room is clean, there’re small shops around. The view of the canals looks nice, especially with lights in the evening. But the room was not ready when checking in at 3:00p.m.
