Lovely accomodation. Would recommend you stay. Quiet and very clean. Great restaurant Saucy Chef in walking distance.

Stayed almost a week for National Super Champs Squash tournament and absolutely loved our stay at the refurbished Colonial. Lovely owners whom we got to meet and congratulate on their impressive improvements.

I booked this motel for my elderly parents. They really enjoyed their stay. They felt safe, it was quiet and very clean with comfy beds.

Very dated property or our executive 1 bedroom was. Permanent person next door had TV on 24 hours could be heard in our room. Off street parking but nowhere to sit outside

Surprised at the comfort and huge space. Compared to most other budget accommodation hotels, this was rare find. Quiet, comfortable and well equipped. The building is of an older character, but that is not a negative. .

Don’t let the age of the exterior to this hotel fool you. The 3 bedroom apartment was huge for a motel, with all new modern fittings . The kitchen was well appointed with oven, hot plate, microwave, dishwasher & family size fridge. The lounge dinning was spacious with a huge tv that would be at home in a sports bar let alone a motel. The bedrooms were again large with decent beds that weren’t too hard. You also have an appointed laundry with washer dryer that was handy for our long exploring road trip around the South Island. I don’t think I’ve been more surprised with a room and travelling with my grown family of 5 I would definitely stay again

Best accommodation on our trip, nice and modern, perfect for a family

Big 2 bedroom apartment. The staff had left heating on for our arrival so it was already warm inside which was very welcoming. Also had option of netflix on the TV. Very comfy stay.

Very clean and spacious. The beds had electric blankets. We only stayed one night and didn't use the kitchen but it was well equipped. The water tower was within walking distance. Will definitely book a room here again if we happen to be in this area.
