I stayed for two nights but tried out two different rooms as there were some maintenance problems with my first roof - broken tiles on the shower floor, which should now be fixed. Things I liked: using the insta camera provided in the room; the lovely toiletries; the comfy bed in the pocket room (generous in width for a single bed); the coffee and cloth bag. Things I didn’t like: the noise from the next door construction (I realise that this isn’t the hotel’s fault and they helped me move to a room further away but it did wake me early after a late arrival the night before and it was constant); the view from the ground floor room onto a bin store courtyard where people from a neighbouring restaurant are smoking - this prevented me from opening my window. The hotel was also quite hot and duvets were provided for the beds - sheets would have been helpful as the rooms were warm. Practicalities: Bob W is very centrally located - a 5 min walk from the main train station and close to bakeries, restaurants and shops. It is really easy to travel around Oslo on the bus with many stops close by. (The Vy train app helped with booking train and bus tickets in advance.) The customer service team are quick to respond via What’s app and they were good at resolving problems. I had no problem with the phone-based entry system.

Everything was wonderful with the exception of it was very hot but after leaving Oslo this I don’t think was unique to this hotel. Most places didn’t have AC but they need to work on getting more air movement at the very least. All that being said the location was amazing the communication was great. I would recommend staying there but know if the weather is warm the room will reflect that too.

There was no kelinex or tissue in oir room. There was also only earl gray tea in our room. English breakfast tea is a common tea to provide in hotels and I could not get it in the room or in lobby.

Very nice room and bathroom, very clean. The only downside was the room was on the top floor, just below the roof and it was hot day and night. A fan or AC would be a good idea to bear the heat in summer.

This is not a hotel for families, avoid if you have more than 2 people in the group! Small rooms, terribly hot (no A/C). Our questions went unanswered.

During our current trip we stayed in 13 different accommodations and this would not be our favourite. The location was great and the room spacious. Appreciated the personal note upon arrival. We appreciate that there may be construction in the area but we were surprised to have a dumpster on a Sunday evening immediately outside our window - a window with 4 panes ( two of which were frosted and the other two looking at a wall). Within the first few hours there were two dumps. The room felt dark and under lit. I was not a fan of this hotel’s self check in. Based on communication I was not very confident it would work. It did, however on 4 out of 5 occasions we didn’t need the building security code as there was always someone else going in or coming out that let us in. I didn’t use the luggage storage as I didn’t feel confident that the luggage was secure. The website indicated you could order and prepay for breakfast. Actually you were given credit at two local bakeries. Would rather have simply decided where we wanted to eat and how much we wanted to spend. Not likely to be back.

The place was in the center of everything and was in a safe area. It was clean and I appreciated the eco-friendly nature of this place.

Good location, quiet. Laundry services were included with detergent making a good stop to get regrouped for your journey while still being convenient for shopping. Was initially confusing to checkin (make sure you complete registration ahead of time), but once you have the checkin link it is convenient to get access to outer door and to room.

I loved #sleepingwithBob although my husband did not. He didn’t like that there was no front desk receptionist, no AC and having to open the door with my phone. I liked that it felt like we were in an apartment with large rooms (full sized bed and a pull out couch), coffee and tea, ironing board, clothes dryer/warmer, international phone chargers and that rosemary diffuser! The location is a 5min walk to the city center, 10min to the Oprah house, 15min to my favorite, the Noble Peace Center and 25min to the cruise terminal. There’s a large room to store luggage with no charge before and after your stay and I loved the personal touch with a hand written note and tote bag party favor. I received immediate responses from the hotel on WhatsApp as needed. Thank you, Bob!

Great location that is close to everything you need, including the train station. Enjoyed the special note and the stickers to remember the place

Our room was stuffy & hot and the a/c wasn’t working. We had to open the windows and plug the electric fan that was in the closet. Even that was blowing hot air. The shower has very limited hot water. There’s 4 of us and as soon as one of us showered, the hot water was gone for hours. Glad we only had one night stay there. Otherwise, we don’t know if we could stand another day of heat in the room & freezing in the shower. Disappointed, but thankful it’s just one night.

Great location and seamless check-in. I would just caution travellers who are used to central air/AC that this does not have it and can be very warm in the summer.

We had mixed feelings about this place. Great central location, but with lousy views of a dirty back ally. Clean, but with thin bath towels. Lots of cute, hip, touches. Quiet (despite construction nearby) with the windows closed. However, no A/C and no screens on the windows, so you have a choice between roasting or flies (and construction noise) in the Summer. I was told by their customer service when I booked that laundry was in-suite. It wasn't. There was one small (and slow) condo size washer-dryer for the whole building, and you have to sign up for a time slot to use it. There is a free luggage drop, but it is just a room that any guest can access, not individual locked spaces. The entry system works well but requires continuous use of your cell phone, so you can't ever leave it in the room, and you have to make sure it doesn't run out of charge.

The hotel room was nice but it wasn't very clean. There is limited storage with only a few open shelf units which were full of dust, as was tge clothes rail, and all flat surfaces.

Great central location with good amenities, responsive staff and an easy to use app location for anything you could need so a decent value. Bedding is decent but not the most comfortable mattress. Breakfast options were excellent and plenty of food and beverage included. Property was reasonably clean but had construction going on outside and next door, which is not their fault, but to be considered before booking. Additionally, probably not recommended for someone who is driving since parking is difficult to find, drive to and expensive.

Easy access to the train station and shops/restaurants. Also Bob W is very helpful and responds quickly. Stellar customer service.

Great hotel in very convenient location. Efficient service and very good communication.
