Great hotel, central located and about two blocks from Central Train Station allowing you to use the train to and from the airport, saving time and lots of money. Breakfast and diner buffet included at the room price was amazing. Highly recommend BUT, avoid during July & August as non of the rooms has AC as very common in the Scandinavian countries.

Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and very quiet –- despite being on the second floor overlooking the road and directly across from a construction site. Beds, pillows, and duvets all excellent. There is a coffee service (kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, creamer) in the room. The basement gym is one of the better hotel gyms, with aerobic equipment, weight machines, racks of free weights, and enough floor space for yoga. We did not use the sauna, but saw other guests avail themselves of it (also in the basement). The breakfast buffet was generous; featuring hot (English) and cold (Continental meats and cheeses, and Nordic salmon and herring) options, fruit, yoghurt, fresh bread, coffee, tea, fresh juice, smoothies and more. Fresh pastries are provided late afternoon. The room price also includes a buffet dinner, making this a very homey hotel indeed.

We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Having traveled in Europe, many times, the room was considerably bigger than expected. The included breakfast and dinner buffets were well stocked, the food was warm and better than the average buffet.

The place is very convenient.,center located, the room are very clean and comfortable, we only stayed one night, but i stayed in stavanger norway the same name chain hotel with half board. I am pleased with the hotel room, we booked three rooms, they are pretty happy about.

I only had breakfast as I arrived Oslo past midnight. I booked Twin Room with Private bathroom. The room given to us was quite a small room and not enough space to put in two luggage when opened. As it was very late and we had to catch a train very early the next morning, we didn't bother. It is good that we can store luggage in the hotel. We travelled out of Oslo on 3 July 2026 and then came back again on 6 July 2026. For this stay I only stayed for 5 hours for sleep as I was to take the train at 8:23 next morning. We had to get up at 6 am. It is good that breakfast starts at 6:30 am. Breakfast variety is very good and delicious. Convenient location to walk to Oslo Central Station.

I like that breakfast and dinner are included. There are a lot of seats in the restaurant. The seating area is good and private. Quite a lot of variety for breakfast. Main course at dinner varied daily. There is salad bar every day. There is coffee and tea whole day and afternoon tea cakes. It is at a convenient location about 11 minutes' walk from Oslo Central Station. Some staff are good. However the staff on duty on 6 July 2026 night time doesn't seem to know much when I asked for information about opening hours of museums and some other places of interest, etc. Staff at restaurants are good and attentive. Room is clean. However, the bathroom is a bit small and narrow. Very reasonable price considering that breakfast and dinner are included and the central location. Overall a very good stay.

Fantastic value (for Oslo) with great location. Free breakfast and dinner are good quality and keep costs down. I’m vegetarian and coeliac and was fairly well catered for.

The rooms are quite large but a bit strangely furnished. There are no drawers and the very large closet had 5 hangers and several shelves on which to keep items. The shower while quite small was good with plenty of pressure. The towels are very thin and there is no space around the sink except a small shelf underneath (we moved a small table from the living area in to provide a place for basic toiletries). The breakfast is very good and with lots of options. We opted to eat one dinner due to scheduling and it was OK, but not great. The front desk sells cocktails, wine and chips and sweets, also had ice available. We found the location to be very convenient. Would probably consider staying again.

Had a great time at Hotel Bastion. The staff were really helpful and knowledgeable. The food was great and there was plenty of choice and it was great that there was breakfast, dinner and unlimited drinks.
