Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Helpful in accommodating our luggage transfer to Bergen. Waiter and his assistant/ bartender in lobby cafe very rude. Had dinner there night of World Cup finals but early enough it wasn’t busy yet. Waiter took care of others who arrived 5-10 min after us but whom he obviously knew. Then very nasty when taking drink orders- and then after mistakes w cocktails, we said we would take a beer instead. Without even asking what type of beer, he just brought us beer of his choice. Only bad experience we had during our week in Norway.

This is a terrific hotel with a great breakfast. The pool is only for the spa and not usable by guests who do not take spa treatments.

Bel hôtel avec un charme belle époque, plein de services, bien situé. Le buffet déjeuner est exceptionnel et le high tea digne d’un établissement anglais. Pas d’air climatisé dans les chambres, mais les fenêtres s’ouvrent bien. C’est rarement un problème.

Fantastic hotel centrally located in the heart of Oslo! Loved the old world charm and the fact that locals love to go there for their afternoon teas at the weekend! Breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever experienced!

This is my go-to hotel in Oslo as the beds are so comfy. BUT on this occasion, the (Superior) room they gave me was tiny (with a large bathroom, not so useful), it was down some stairs, which is not great when one has a bad back but the really horrible thing this time was the stench of 'rotten cabbage/sewage' in the hallway outside the room. Awful, but apparently it was due to the kitchen cleaning something. But why not put guests in other corridors then? The ones I walked through to get to the lift were fine. Will have to rethink next time I go to Oslo.
