Perfect breakfast. Hotel is located in the center. Staff is helpful

I stayed for one night with my son. it was a ten minute walk from the train station. we had a really lovely stay. the room was small but cosy. the bed was very comfortable. shower was lovely. breakfast was great with a large selection of hot and cold food. service was amazing. would definitely stay again and recommend it.

Everything was excellent. The breakfast was superb. The room was a bit small but everything else was perfect. The staff were wonderful.

Lovely, clean, comfortable hotel centrally located in Oslo. Would definitely recommend staying if you're here for a break. Staff are fantastic and I want to make special mention of Ramzes who helped me out when I checked in. I was having issues with my phone and needed to book rail tickets to Sweden but Ramzes was amazing and helped me get these booked. These tickets had to be booked there and then from my perspective and he simply translated for me and took me through the whole process. Excellent customer service and it helped me out immensely. Not only this but three days later, not only did Ramzes recognise me when I came back, but also remembered my name! That is a sign of someone who is excellent at their job and his welcoming nature makes you feel at home. Thank you Ramzes, you really made my stay at Scandec Karl Johan very enjoyable

Good: breakfast buffet, staff friendly & helpful. Bad: will not hold baggage if you leave for a few days, parking very expensive.

The breakfast is quite good and included in the rate. The hotel location is fantastic, right in the centre of Oslo. However the room is really really small and the look and feel is that of an old cheap place

Location is superb! Bed was super comfortable; breakfast buffet was amazing! Our room was larger than we expected and with a lot of lightning and mirrors.

This hotel has very friendly and helpful staff. The location is superb and the coffee in the lounge was appreciated. Breakfast was pleasant. I understand this isn’t a five star hotel and we didn’t need luxury as we were basically there to sleep and shower, however, the room was a little tired. There was a huge stain on the carpet by the bed and the toilet seat was broken. We were only there one night so it served our needs but these things would bother some people. The left baggage room was our of sight of reception and left unlocked as there had been a problem that day. Our belongings were fine but, again, this would bother many people

We booked this hotel along side others in the chain.for.our mini scandi tour and this has been the wordt experience i have ever had in a hotel. The air conditioning did not work and we were informed that it didn't work anywhere in the hotel therefore they eouldnt be changing the room so we had.to lrave window open except the kitchen fan equipment was outside our room so very noisy. Also the safe didn't work andwe had passports and medication thay needed to be secured. Maintenance chap tried to fix it but to no avail. Reception told.us that they couldnt give us a different room again as they didnt know which rooms had working safes were working so we could out it in their safe. It transpired to trying to collect the items one evenig they dod not have a safe and it was placed in a drawer! Took a while for night receptionist to locate it much to my terror. It transpires that the hotel is due to undergo renovations which are clearly overdue. Most expensive room on our trip and the smallest and least functional. Now at the scandi crown in gotteburg and the difference is nght and day thank god. I would like to say that the only redeeming part of our stay was the catering staff for the breakfast buffet were lovely and very accommodating. Food was very good.

The rooms are very small and air conditioning did not work both times we were there( at the end and beginning of our trip). Room was clean though but rooms are always very clean in Norway even in hostels which are a fraction of the price of this hotel!
