Thon Hotel Terminus

Thon has many Hotels in this area. This is also very centrally located with lots of shopping and dining close by. Oslo central station is next to it, allowing connection to everywhere. The specific corner this hotel is having construction and looks older. Hotel doesn't have much of a lobby, but breakfast area has good seating area. Rooms are updated, but are narrow, and for our room the bathroom door was awkward. Both Pillows were too soft. Room service was fine and they delivered and fixed what ever we wanted. Laundry service is really expensive and there is no coin laundry close by, so don't plan for it.

I enjoyed my stay at Thon Terminus. Perfect location. Excellent breakfast. Comfortable bed and clean room. A few unfortunate features. First the switch next to bed is a Mains Switch not just a light switch, so if you use that to turn off the light any overnight device charging (like phones) stops working. Second I really disliked the strange locking mechanism where the door sometimes did not immediately lock, leaving the room unlocked for about 40s-1min. I have never seen this before in many years of travel and hotel visits. I have security concerns about this (compounded by the lack of a deadbolt inside the room), and was a bit disappointed by the response I got to those concern when I enquired at the desk.

It was a nice but relatively ordinary hotel but great location. Rooms were a bit too hot and no cooling option

This hotel was conveniently located and very clean and comfortable .

I walked down the stairs that were marked as exit. The door at the bottom was locked. I told the desk that this was terribly dangerous, and they were unconcerned, saying that I actually needed to exit on the second floor staircase, and then wind my way through the breakfast area to find another staircase as a fire exit. This is not acceptable. Otherwise, they have the most bizarre wallpaper and furniture choices. The beds are too soft to be comfortable.

Convenient location, by train station so lots of noise and people mulling about. But hotel was fine once inside. Check in was easy, breakfast buffet was good too. Lots of options there.

Messaging the hotel about my possible late arrival, inquired about the instruction for late check in as their website stated 3pm-12 am check-in only. The only thing received was an auto reply saying staff will get in touch Fortunately, my train arrived earlier than scheduled. And was able to check in before 12am

This was an excellent hotel. Staff were wonderful and very helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent. Very nice hotel.

Excellent 8 night stay in Thon Hotel Terminus. Staff could not have been more helpful and, in particular, the so friendly Shanette on the reception / front desk of the hotel. The only complaint is that the hotel has no Air Conditioning in the rooms and so it was often too warm and humid in my bedroom as the Temperatures during my 8 day stay in Oslo were up at the high 20s C with 3 of the days being above 30C

No A/C. I understand that high temperatures are uncommon in Oslo but it was miserable without an A/C while it was 28C. Otherwise convenient place to stay as it’s by the central station.

Hotel very close to the Oslo train station. Rooms were good, ut nothing very special. Some noise from outside at night. The star item was the included breakfast. Really great breakfast rbat met all needs. Would stay here for this again.

Great hotel. Nice and quiet, slightly away from the main busy street, yet walkable to all the center sights, shops, restaurants. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I enjoyed hanging out in the cool lounge area with my laptop and the gym was great. Good value for money. Staff wonderful and helpful. My single room was very small although it was cute and really all I needed and was clean. Overall I enjoyed my stay here!
