This was a beautiful property! Such a special experience staying in an over the water bungalow! Food and drink they offered was delicious! There is a refrigerator in the room, I wish we would have bought some snacks and beverages before leaving Bocas Town to keep in our room. Staff was super friendly and helpful.

The staff was amazing. The food was good. The room was beautiful. I stayed in one of the above water bungalows. The only downfall is there is very little to do nearby. You are pretty much stranded on this island unless you arrange some kind of transport or tour. If you’re looking for a vacation where you can totally check out from the world this is it. If you’re looking for a place to do lots of activities, this is not. Management took care of everything I asked for, including an unexpected early arrival.

This was a Fantastic experience!! We stayed in the private cabana over the water. Jordania was great! He took care of us the whole time we were there. The food was out of this world. The Chef was Cheppie and he made fantastic menus for each meal. My wife and I highly recommend this resort for a romantic getaway.

Pretty far out location. Very isolated and that can be good sometimes! Be prepared to take an expensive shuttle boat both ways offered twice a day and if you miss it, it's a $150 boat taxi. Cocktails were great! Restaurant was slow with okay food and relatively expensive, but no other options around. Bastimentos is a cool island, I found more to do on the island closer to Bocas Town.

This property is very remote. It’s lovely and relaxing but way overpriced. It’s not as plush as it seems online. The staff were not super friendly and overall I would not recommend unless I paid half price. It was not worth the money.

We arrived to Bocas Del Toro with ease, and found Captain Eddie who gave us an unforgettable trip by boat to Azul Paradise. We arrived to fresh coconuts cut open, given to us by Jordano, who let us know the room would be ready shortly (and it was), he let have us a tour of where and when to eat. Let us know what they have to offer. The first day lunch and dinner was excellent. Chef is an easy 10/10. However, that’s where the magic ended. Day 2 was a gorgeous morning. We set up a trip to Monkey Island (also awesome). However, early day 2, a boat arrived with 2 Police and 3 people, no explanation. 1 was the Lawyer, we met last day. The office was then closed the rest of our stay! No bandaids, no nothing. Jordano was on the run. there were arguments between who we believe to be the owners, police, and a gentlemen who was arrested. All day, out in the open! With the office closed the staff didn’t have any guidance on what to do. Supplies for drinks/Food ran low. All things considered they did their best. They’re great people with wonderful insight into the nearby Ngobe community. The management ruined what is an incredible location. They should be ashamed. We were told the charges would be on the card to the room. And the last day they demanded cash before we left - and there’s no ATM on the island!! I’m running out of space. But the place needs TLC, and better management/ownership to be given an amazing review. Which is a shame bc the location & staff are amazing!

We enjoyed a 4 night stay at Azul Paradise we stayed in the over water bungalow #6, this place is very relaxing, the location is very remote and truly amazing if you are looking to enjoy some time away. The staff was very accommodating, they made our stay 100% worth it. The layout of the bungalow it self is nice, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and nice, the glass view port is great, I enjoyed seeing many different sea life, including string rays and different fish, the big windows in the bungalows are great, waking up to beautiful sunrises and enjoying the sunsets, was just breathtaking. But I will say the bungalow does needs some updating and maintenance work, the rug was old and a fall hazard, the towels were old and stained, the furniture is dirty, the wood deck and ladder to the ocean needs some up keep, you do not get a key to the bungalow, they say it’s very safe, you are only able to lock it from the inside, a working safe is in the room, which we used, the satellite internet worked great. It is noted that the AC is limited, due to the resort being ECO-friendly, no surprise there, we only had AC from 6pm-7am, there is a fan in the room but it is set to the lowest setting and unable to adjust, in the open floor restaurant on the second level there are little ceiling fans, they didn’t produce any air, it would have been nice having extra big fans for some air, it does get really hot and humid in this region, in my opinion for the amount paid for the

Azul Paradise exceeded all expectations, thanks to its impeccable accommodations, outstanding service led by managers Jordano and Ricardo, and the unbeatable location. Our bungalow was spacious, immaculately clean, and the panoramic views from the full wall glass windows were simply breathtaking. Waking up to the ocean waves and sounds of the tropical rainforest made us feel totally at peace. While drinking your morning coffee, you will likely see several different species of fish through the glass floor. My wife and I found ourselves with the privacy we needed to reconnect. Often, we were the only ones on the beach, or the only ones on the walking trail enjoying the sounds of nature. We highly recommend this resort, and we look forward to returning in the future!

If you want a relaxing, quiet, rustic getaway then this is your place. The inside of the bungalows are clean and well kept but the exterior does not look so great, in fact some areas are unsafe and the property owners need to invest in securing some of the aging wood planks on walkways and decks. The beach on the property was full of seaweed and is not worth calling a beach. There is clearer bleach just next door that we had access to so this made up for the seaweed. The logistics for getting to and from the airport to the property should have been better outlined in the property description and be included in the price instead of being extra. Overall it was a good getaway and I enjoyed the peace and quite.

We stayed in Bungalow #6. The view and the bungalow itself were stunning! During our stay, we were blessed with great weather! beautiful sunrise and sunsets. We would lay in bed and just look out into the water, It couldn't have been more relaxing. The staff were kind and attentive, and the best part was that there weren't any locals wandering around asking you to buy their goods. I noticed that it only happened when we would go to the beaches. Our first night at our bungalow was an unforgettable one. Throughout the night we could keep hearing this squeeky noise that was so loud it prevented me from sleeping. The next morning, I woke up and found droppings by the front door. My suspicions were correct- a bat. I mentioned my concern to the guy in charge, he seemed concerned and told me he would find a resolution and to enjoy the day. His initial fix was to downgrade me to a smaller bungalow, I was not happy since I chose this destination based on many things but the selling point was the bungalow. I pushed back and he eventually asked an employee to clean out the room. When I was told my room had been cleaned out, I asked if he removed the bat to which the employee shook his head and then proceeded to tell me it wasn't just one bat, but SEVEN of them! I was mortified! I appreciated them taking care of that because I really wanted to stay in the bungalow I had booked and I know things like bats entering my room at night was out of their control but they managed to make me happy

While my stay at Azul Paradise overwater bungalow was indeed a dream, it's important to note that the water clarity can vary depending on the time of year. When I visited in September, I did notice that the water was a bit murky, which was a slight disappointment. This may have been due to seasonal factors or weather conditions. Despite this, the overall experience was still exceptional. The resort's staff went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and enjoyment. Additionally, the murkier water didn't detract from the beauty of the bungalow itself or the stunning views from my private deck. It's worth considering the timing of your visit if crystal-clear water is a priority. However, even with the water conditions in September, Azul Paradise remains a remarkable destination, offering a unique and unforgettable overwater bungalow experience.

Checking into this property was a big hassle. When I got there I basically had to rebook the entire reservation, First red flag was my receipt that I signed said $1100 total but Expedia charged me $1410, when I asked Jordiano about this, the guy that works the front desk he could not tell me why I was being charged more and to call Expedia to figure that out. Then when I reached out to Expedia they tried to put it back on Azul resort. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! The resort was ok but not worth the prices they are charging. If you’re going to spend this type of money I would go to the better over water bungalows like at sandals resorts. The food options are very limited and they so called take a tab for your meals and drinks which are hand written receipts and at check out they will try and overcharge you at the end of your stay, and the only way to get off the island where the overwater bungalows are is by boat. So if you have an issue with your tab for food/drinks they act as if they are not going to take you back to the main island where the airport is located to leave. So between being overcharged for my reservation and being overcharged for the only food options available, I would not recommend this place. I would recommend staying in Bocas town if your a single traveler because the boat only goes to the mainland from the bungalows at certain times and is very expensive like $30 each way. Oh yea and the boat ride to and from the bungalowsis not included in the reservation

What a gorgeous, off-the-beaten path, island that serves as a great spot for much needed R&R. Azul Paradise is a handful of private bungalows situated over the Caribbean Sea's warm waters, complete with a tiki bar and full service dining led by an amazing chef. The staff is truly one of kind -- and works to exceed expectations every step of the way. They will work with you to coordinate transfers between the airport, Bocas Town and the island for a small fee, making it easy to get back and forth. One note: We learned after the fact that while in Bocas Town, the transport company which did a great job, is a separate organization. You do not need to book island excursions through them. You can or you can book directly with the staff at Azul Paradise and let them show you around the islands. Communications before the trip were easy though not always perfectly clear. Wifi can be spotty, and the team shared in advance that the resort is eco friendly using solar power during the day, and a generator in the evenings. The generator powers the AC, which means it is only run during the evenings. It does get warm and very humid but with a dip in the sea or day out on a boat fixes that. The island isn't designed to have every amenity so if you need that, you may consider a different destination. This is a lovely location, great people, tasty food and some adorable island pups to make your stay. Bring plenty of sunscreen, bug spray and a few good books. It'll be perfect.

We personally felt that for the price and the fact that the accomodation is so far away, the transport on water to the accomodation should have been included in the price. $120 USD to get to and from the accomodation is crazy expensive and should be included in the price of staying because guests have no other option. Also we had to wait 3 hours to get onto the boat to get to the accomodation after travelling 40 hours to get to Bocas town. That left a really sore taste in our mouth
