It’s a shame the owner won’t pay for a strong pipeline to the Internet. Wi-Fi is very strong but there’s no connection to the Internet. My smart signal was only two bars out of four. If you need Internet, don’t go here. The swimming pool was filled with about 100 kids when I checked in, and they were still there until dark. I never saw an adult swim time posted. I was up early in the morning but I never saw anyone cleaning the pool, and the water didn’t seem very clean. I had a room with a balcony, and the view is spectacular looking at the sea. The room is very spacious, the bed is fantastic, extremely thick and comfy, and for big pillows provided. The bathroom is clean. Those were the best things about the hotel. There was only one outlet for charging next to the bed. There was a bedside table lamp! However the on off switch been removed and the wire taped so I had to unscrew the bulb when I went to sleep. The Aircon unit had a filter completely clogged with dust, and the cover had been taped shut, impossible to clean. How stupid is that? There were a few more outlets around the room, but these days most people like to have the phone charging On a table next to the bed. The shower was spacious plenty of water and two nice clean towels. The personal safe was not operating, but they gave me one of the keys! Walking from my room to lobby, I had to walk in filthy puddles of water and trash in view along with exposed hoses and dirty air con units along the walkway.

Has a small private beach you can take the stairs down to enjoy. Also a few pools for the kids as well as one for adults. Restaurant menu was okay. Free breakfast was from menu and was limited. Staff was fantastic. No wifi in room. There was in lobby with a pw but I wasn't told during check in. Unfortunately there was an event for the families of an adjacent hotel staff for 3 days which made it quite noisy. Quite far from the main road so if you want a taxi that's an additional 100php to the fare. However overall it's a good place for the price.

Bed is excellent. Very soft bed and best pillows. bad lighting, very shortage to the towel. Bed schedule control delayed chich in. Very bed location access. Extra charge requested by driver due to hotel location.

No so good..the water got smell n food no suitable for us. TV show no cover with Chinese channel.

I used to love this resort but it was not how I remembered it years back. Now they've let it go and the staff is not at all hospitable. Pictures posted here in this app is not how the rooms really are. They gave us only one bed when posted are two beds. They said we chose a king sized bed as an option, but on the app it says a choice between a king sized or a double sized bed, thinking the other bed is a default. We arrived with only one bed. When we complained that aircon not working properly, we were moved to a different room and there it was, two beds. This, after booking two rooms over the weekend. Also, breakfast was only for two adults. App description did not specify this. We thought we had two adults, two kids worth of breakfast (plated breakfast, not buffet). Should have gone to our other choice resort.

Service wasn't real great at this place, except Kimberly, she was quiet helpful. Pools are good for kids but that's about it.

Nothing amazing about the place . Food okay a bit high price for what you got. Pools okay . Service was good . Average place that's over priced .

My very first worst hotel and resort experience. Words are not enough to express our disappointment but one thing for sure, we will not stay at this hotel again nor recommend this to our friends. Lessons learned!

The hotel could do with a bit of a face lift. The infinity pool was amazing though.

Looking for something any major city hotel may not possibly offer, be it for a full lone relaxation or to bond with your close friend/s while free from the urban noises & smells, but still comes with the must-have clean room, adequate amenities & quality service..well, this is IT! I'd visited Cebu just about a dozen times before, including 3 previous hotels of stay also in Lapu Lapu where its airport is located, this time being my very first to spend the entire stay in a hotel by the sea in that region. i was immediately engulfed in its natural as well as man-made beauties after check-in! Lacking of WiFi in the room but only around the lobby and resto-cafe areas did not in any way affect my overall relaxing holiday stay. In fact, i could not recall on top of my head where else i had seen or experienced 3 swimming pools (well, one of them was closed for renovation), let alone to enjoy the great ocean view simultaneously, at such affordable pricing!. To get back to the city life of shopping malls, gourmet venues or evening drinks..just tell the front desk to call for a taxi which always comes over in only 5 to 15 minutes. There's a mere 50 P, or slightly more than a dollar, on top of what the meter reading turns out to show.Given another chance i'd love to go back there again for a full holiday relaxation!

I booked this to relax after a long flight straight to Cebu and wanted to be straight on the beach. The hotel is quite grand and must hae been the best 15 yrs ago a little dated now. The room was comfortable but no wifi ( lobby only) thd staff attentive and friendly. It's a bit out of the way. Has a sm beachfront w nice sand and some snorkelling and really nice pools (2) they let me check in really early 8.30 am! because it was not full, which was a big plus for me. resto was only ok

There were several aspects of the stay that were fine (two pools, nice view of the water, quiet). The room was what I expected for the price and was perfectly acceptable but not glamorous. Wifi was only available in the lobby. The negatives were centered around the service. The restaurant on site was average at best but they also ran out of beer, mango juice and hamburger during our stay. They were unable to make alterations to anything on the menu. The front desk was unhelpful with arranging off site activities. The hotel itself is very isolated from anything else and requires a taxi or jeepney to get to the main road. Live and learn, I hope to return to Cebu but I won't be staying at Vista Mar.
