Amazing place to stay. The staff was very nice and in-house restaurant serves delicious feed. The only thing we didn't like was that the room was rather small. The wash basin in the bathroom also pretty small. Other than that, we liked the vibe.

Expedia takes card details on secure portal, than it sends open text message to hotel (including CVT). Operator punches numbers from printed copy to finalize on payment terminal, it is a joke. Do not take card details while booking, and I had no choice to finalize booking.

Loved almost everything about this place. Only problem is the staff will run your card in your currency and charge a fee for that without telling you. You always have a choice. It's a lot easier to let them know before handing them the card, otherwise they will tell you there was no option.

So glad I followed the advice of other Hotels.com users and chose this hotel. Yes, it is a way's away from everything and that is just what makes it great. Gorgeous location, lovely staff and great food. I'm a vegetarian and I'm often wary of dining options at hotel restaurants - they can be a bit too touristy and therefore too meat-oriented. The breakfasts were outstanding and I ate two excellent meat-free meals for an incredible price. Would stay here again to walk those Tatra trails! My only complaint to the hotel staff - wash those bedspreads!!! It's a cleaning detail often overlooked and it was definitely not done at Dwor Karolowka. Apart from that small detail, a great visit.

Our room was small and cramped for 2 people, however the hotel itself was nice and pleasing. We asked for a bigger room but the receptionist said that the hotel was at capacity and could not switch us (fair enough). Staff were pleasant but did not go out of their way to ask how things were. The breakfast buffet that was included in our rate was fabulous. All in all, can't complain aside for the small quarters that we had.

Room was large, with separate sitting area. Hotel is very attractive externally. Our room had a view of the car park, rather than the hills. You can catch a regular minibus (runs every 15 mins) from Zakopane bus / train station to the hotel - best to show a map to the driver if you don't speak Polish. Main drawback was the 'blocked drains' smell in the bathroom. We reported on the 1st morning (2 night stay) but had not been fixed for the 2nd night. Staff friendly & helpful. Pleasant woodland walk 10 mins down the road on the left on the way in to Zakopane.

We stayed here here two nights during May 2012. The location is away from the city, but not to worry, just a short distance of 4-5/km to get you to where you want to be. Breakfast had a nice variety and enough for everyone. The jacuzzi hot tub is great, don't forgot to open the window to air out the room-it will make it more pleasant. Rooms were overall clean and beds were comfortable. I would go back in a heart beat! Don't forgot to visit Morski Oko... the place we got engaged.

Pretty new hotel on the edge of Tatra National Park. Close to hiking and beautiful scenery. Hotel was beautiful, staff were friendly, and the room was great. Would definitely return.

Stunning looking hotel, comfortable room, great value! I would love to stay here again, the (English speaking) staff are also wonderful and were happy to help me out with a few queries I had... even cancelling my last night (as my plans had changed) at no charge. If you dont mind being a few km out of town I would highly recommend this place, and the breakfast is pretty good too.
