This is a real value for money hotel. I was on the sixth floor and the room and bathroom were spotless, with the rooms serviced daily. The bed was really comfortable and there was no disturbance from traffic noise at night even though the metro line runs directly outside the hotel. Although admittedly I was at the back of the hotel which would be quiter in any case. The staff were welcoming, professional and extremely helpful with check-in and check-out being effortless. I had an issue with the room safe on arrival (my own fault) and a staff member was dispatched immediately to sort it out for me. My diet has to be gluten and dairy free and the hotel insured that there was gluten free bread for breakfast each morning. I dined in the restaurant on the first night and one of the waiting staff went to great lengths to advise me of what I could and could not eat from the buffet selection and failing there being sufficient choice for me there was always the a la carte menu. The standout feature for me however, is the location of this hotel. It's one minute walk from a metro stop and several bus stops - with connections to trains and the city centre itself only a couple of metro stops away. I wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again; should I ever go back to Porto.

The hotel was spotless. The staff bent over backwards to assist. The breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of choices. The servers that put the buffet out were wearing masks. Tables were cleared and cleaned quickly. The hotel is in an excellent position a minutes walk to train D. Joao II. The stop is also easy access by public transport to the main Sao Bento Station.

The size of the room was excellent and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was OK but hot food could have been kept a little warmer. Negative was in the bathroom where it was a little awkward to have a shower in the bath and the water temperature kept fluctuating between hot and cold

My boyfriend and I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights just before Easter and we left the hotel very disappointed. The staff in the reception does not greet you when you come to or leave the hotel. They only talk to you if you talk to them. They sometimes have more people in the reception but only one will be serving guest which is unacceptable. They also did not help with anything relating to tourism, currency exchange and the city. Cleaning left our door open after cleaning our room so when we returned to the hotel after a long day we found our door open. I went to the reception and told them, was offered an apology but nothing else. Almost seemed like they didn’t care. We only got a very short call form a technician at noon the day after who had been told our lock was broken. Not true. Breakfast is on the tenth floor but not up to the standard of a four star hotel. Scrambled eggs dry and slightly brown. Oily fried eggs. Barely cooked bacon. Baked beans with hard beans. Hot milk container with almost cold milk. Overall really bad. We were also not asked for our room number at breakfast so basically anyone could eat breakfast for free. Not nice when you have actually paid extra to have breakfast included. The bed’s okay but the pillows were very high and uncomfortable. I came home with a sore neck. The location is was okay for us. It is a 40-50 min walk to the city center but very quick with public transport. There is a metro station right next to the hotel.

The hotel is a $15 taxi from the train station and you could get there by metro for about $3, but we had a lot of luggage. It is right on the metro, so some may find it a little noisy. I thought it was a real convenience. No complaints.

Very good value for money. We stayed here so that we could use the free parking. The tram stop is very near the hotel and takes you very quickly into the old town. You don't want to try and drive in the old town so staying outside and getting the tram or very cheap taxi in was fabulous. This hotel is across the river from the old town and is located up the hill from the lovely wineries and restaurants. The hotel itself is Very clean, has a restaurant on the top floor with great views, very good buffet breakfast and large rooms. We also had some cocktails in the little bar which were only 5 euro each. Staff were very polite, cheery and helpful. Wish we had stayed longer.

Hotel staff were very accommodating - assisted in making reservations for a wine tour the next day, room was OK - clean, but the location was disappointing. We were hoping to be close to the city and ended up having to take a train in - or take a 30 minute walk to get anywhere. There was also some work being done on the sidewalk/entranceway which was noisy in the day but we were usually out so that was not a major issue.

The room does not have a kettle. This would have been greatly appreciated. There was a problem with the lift, causing much inconvenience. The problem was later fixed. Breakfast was terrible, with very few choices. Not really a 4 star hotel. We liked the location as there is a metro station very close and it is a safe area. There is also a Continente supermarket just 5 minutes away, in the other side of the street.

I stayed there for four nights. + Metro is right next door + Close to El corte ingles the big store for shopping + Good wifi + Calm neighbourhood + Front desk is very friendly + Breakfast is good, with very good cakes -ve I have only one and a big one at that. The room acoustics was very bad. Everytime the person in the room one floor above me moved a chair, I could hear it. It was really bad for a relatively new hotel. I kept waking up when the person was moving late in the evening.I have stayed in big hotels, where the plumbing noise reaches you but this was at another level. Honestly it is unacceptable. Other than that it is a good hotel with value for money.
