Severa Apartments

It was good. Specially as we arrived earlier and needed to switch rooms because we moved from a 2 to a 4 paxs room. The walls were thin and some other gusta loud so keep in mind it is not a quiet area. Other than that. It was perfect

Wooden folding kitchen chairs were the only seating and very uncomfortable. Roomy. Good kitchen. Cleaning person for the apartment was very helpful. Helped us get a taxi when we left. If you’re using the train or metro it is a long hilly walk.

The location is fantastic and the amenities were great.

L’appartement est directement dans la rue (aucune insonorisation). Les gens sont très bruyants dans le secteur et les camions de poubelles passent pendant la nuit et font tout un vacarme. Il fait également chaud, car il n’y a qu’un petit ventilateur pour se rafraîchir. Nous avons dû acheter du savon pour le corps. Il y avait aussi des taches blanches suspectes sur le divan vert. Les taxis ont de la difficulté à trouver l’endroit semble-t-il. Je dirais que l’appartement en général était quand même bien pour y rester 3 nuits. Le petit frigo était bien apprécié!

They dont have parking available, we had to park in the neighborhood and the shower was really bad abd broken

Living among the locals

Pretty central property, spacious, towels are offered (would’ve preferred some more just because we were 3 sharing a toilet so having hand towels would’ve been good), clean sheets. Apartment is tidy (could be cleaner). But overall it was a great experience, very easy to access and host is responsive.

It was a bit hard to find the apartment since there is no sign. But as soon as we found the right location a woman came out to greet us and gave us the door code for the street and a key for the apartment. The apartment is very basic but also nice and clean. The location is good, close to an ok Santos neighborhood grocery and very close to an excellent breakfast place, Flora and Fauna. The only real disappointment was the old mattress since we could feel every spring. But this is a good place for a short low budget stay.

We absolutely oved LIsbon and we absolutely loved the neighborhood, Madragoa. This was the perfect apartment for us. Our host was very helpful at all times and everything is close at hand in the neighborhood included some of the best food you'll every eat. You can Uber or cab into the center but you're probably going to do some hilly walking.

I usually stay in hostels when travelling but decided to treat myself and booked an apartment for a change. There was no customer service as it was access via codes which was quick and effective and I had no problems so can’t comment. The apartment was clean and comfortable with appropriate furnishings and a well equipped kitchen. It would have been nice to have some coffee left for the very nice machine that was installed because I couldn’t find a shop locally that sold the right sort, therefore a bit pointless. The thing that let it down was the bathroom, poor drainage and ventilation meant it was hot and smelled badly, had mould on one wall and the shower fitting did not work so you had to hold the shower head to shower - this was my main annoyance as that’s a very simple basic you expect when paying €127 for two night stay.

I’ve read some pretty mixed reviews about Severa Apartments and having stayed four nights recently in the top floor loft, I would advise anyone to concentrate on the better ones. Owner Rodrigo is welcoming and helpful, I thought the place was clean and so did my partner... and she’s not at all easily pleased when it comes to cleanliness! The decor is recent and well looked after, the area is quieter than Chiado or Baixa for example, yet still handy for town... walk south to the river where frequent trams, trains and buses run, or north a few streets, where popular tram route 28 can be caught. Metro stations are a little further afield, but still accessible. One tip... make contact with Rodrigo well before you arrive to arrange check-in.

We had contacted Severa apartments well over 24 hours to notify them of our arrival date and time. We did not hear back from them until a few hours before our arrival after contacting Hotels.com. During this waiting period, we wondered if we needed to make other arrangements and this caused quite a bit of concern for us and another couple traveling with us. It would have been most helpful if the Severa representative had additional backups so that he was not singled out. Once we arrived at the apartment, our unit was clean and tidy, however the other couples was filled with MOLD both in the shower and closet areas. Other than these two experiences, the location was central to all with many landmarks and restaurants walkable. The Mold is unacceptable and should be addressed due to health reasons for everyone whether they are traveling or not. Sad to say, the other couple left Lisbon with bad colds which could have been a combination of the mold and draft they experienced in their unit.

First of all we had trouble getting communications with the owner. He wanted us to confirm our arrival which we did thru email text, phone no response until we contacted hotel. Com with our concern. We recvd email finally and was greeted by cleaning lady who said we did not need house key even though owner said there was a key inside (no house key or safe key so we were not able to lock our valuables) next we had overwhelming smell of bleach so we opened all windows and door to air out. As we begin to unpack we find to our disgust a closet full of black mold! We could not hang out clothes. We stayed 5 nights & was only allocated 2 thin towels for two adults! Cleaning lady never came by to exchange even though the stay included "minimal housecleaning". Bathroom mat was filthy and shower curtain had mold as well. Little bugs were on the bed & walls & coming out of sink. Only one heater worked, bedroom heater not working & bith cracked.We had no instructions to where to throw out our garbage so we dumped in next door neighbor bin. My wife ended up sick after our first night & for the rest of our stay headache, coughing overall miserable. We did not contact the owner as we felt it would be a waste of time. I definitely would not recommend this apartment. Please see the pictures

The Severa is in the old part of Lisbon, up a very steep street, about a twenty minute walk to the train station on the waterfront. The location was manageable with respect to being close to trams, trains, and subways. The suite itself was up six flights of stairs and after walking up the street to get to it, those stairs were a killer. We did not see our "host" even though we explained to him on the phone that the suite needed toilet paper and a couple more towels. On the other hand, a mini mercado was across the street and an East Indian restaurant was right around the corner. And although the suite is advertised as a loft, we didn't think we would be crouching to avoid thumping our heads on some of the ceiling beams. Overall, great suite for twenty somethings that want a sixties style experience.

We booked an apartment with 1 double bed, 1 twin bed and 1 twin sofa for 4 people. We were given one with 1 double bed and a twin sofa bed. What happened to the twin bed?

Enjoyed stay & Lisbon is a great city. Our apartment was clean and good for short stay. Unfortunately there seemed a lack of communication from owners of apartment - could get them by phone (tried about 20 times & then spent hour on phone yo Expedis trying to sort contact info. & in end got an email address - my email was never acknowledged. Shower fixing on wall of bathroom was loose & could hold shower head so we had to improvise- contacted owner/manager by email & no response so was slightly disappointed by attitude.

Die Unterkunft lag gut erreichbar in der Altstadt. In der Nähe waren ein Kiosk, ein Supermarkt und eine Pizzeria. Das Apartment war sauber und ruhig. Die Küche war funktional eingerichtet. Insgesamt waren wir zufrieden und wir würden wiederkommen.

Really bad apartment at a mid high pricerange

The door code wasn’t invalid at last night, we’re not able to join any of the contacts that Severa gave us. We had to book another hotel… finally we joined a contact from the Expedia reservation who was able to give us a code so we were able to take our luggage’s. Lots of money and time lost for me and my son ….
