DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Doha Old Town

The hotel is walking distance to Souq Waqif and close to the Hamad international airport. There is a complementary shuttle bus to the beach. Very clean, safe, and quiet, modern spacious rooms. Friendly staff at the reception desk. There is one onsite restaurant on the second floor where the a la carte lunch service was slow and food was disappointing, however the breakfast buffet was fantastic, lots of variety and good quality.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Old Town Doha, and I can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived to the day I checked out, every detail was handled with care and genuine hospitality. A huge thank you to Ozlem (Duty Manager), whose warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness set the tone for my entire stay. Her kind demeanor and proactive approach made me feel incredibly welcomed and valued. Ismail, the Hotel Manager, also stood out for his visible presence and dedication. It’s clear that he leads by example—his team is attentive, courteous, and clearly takes pride in their work. He checked in on guests personally, which speaks volumes about the service standards here. Willy at the front desk was outstanding—friendly, efficient, and always ready to help. Special thanks as well to Naiomi from housekeeping. My room was always kept spotless throughout my stay, and the thoughtful little touches did not go unnoticed. She was always cheerful and respectful, making sure everything was just right. And lastly a huge thank you to the breakfast and valet team who always welcomed us with a smile and kind words. The hotel itself is beautifully maintained, ideally located in Old Town Doha, and offers all the comfort and elegance you’d expect from the Hilton name. But what truly makes this place shine is the team. They turned what would have been a good trip into a truly memorable one!

This hotel has very friendly staff (especially Khalil at breakfast. He took excellent care of us, bringing us coffees and explaining that not only do they have a good spread, you can ask the kitchen for pancakes and such that are not at the buffet). The hotel is within walking distance of the National Museum. But, if you want to go anywhere else in Doha, uber is reliable and reasonably priced. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy all that the Doubletree has to offer, like transfers to the beach club. However, we were only there pre cruise 2 nights. It is a very short ride to the cruise port.

I was staying at the Hilton Double Tree old town hotel with friend of mine for 6 nights. I have a pleasant experience due to: Firstly, because of convenient location, as we wanted to explore Doha, Seconds, I impressed of the service, as the members of staff were very attentive and responded to every query which I was needed. I would like to mention Sanae Habibi, Prilika, Kuku San, Khalil....the professional staff at the reception are work efficiently and pleasantly friendly. I will recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

They clean my room but not that clean. Also the breakfast. Very bad for what you payed. No swimming pool at this hotel. The parking lot underground is very bad.

We arrived early and had to pay an additional amount to secure an upgraded room immediately. Windows from outside on 11th floor were dirty distracting the sea view. In the spa, steam room was not working and no hot water in the spa facilities. This was reported to the staff but was the same on a subsequent visit

Everything was very good. Very friendly and helpful.

Three night stop over and a great location for walking to the MIA and National Museums, the Cornish’s and the MIA Park. 10 mins walk to the nearest metro and one stop to the Souq. Rooms were nice and spacious- I had a suite - breakfast was good but busy around peak time - I had to sit in smoking. Did not try the other restaurants. Staff very helpful. Wil stay here again.

The staff is amazing: kind, warm, helpful. Food is also excellent, from the breakfast to all the dinners and snacks I tried. I also liked the location: a quick ride to the airport, lots of ubers and taxis nearby, and you can easily walk to the metro station near the National Museum (which is just around the corner), souq waqif, Museum of Islamic Art, etc. I have stayed in many types of hotels around Doha during previous visits, Just spent 10 days at the DoubleTree for work and highly recommend this hotel!

We enjoyed our stay at Double tree by Hilton Doha old town. We stayed for nine night and all the staff made us felt welcome and they were very helpful. Ismail and the other staffs at breakfast and dinner was great and greeted us every morning and evening with a smile. Their service was exceptional. Concierge and front desk staff were also friendly and helpful. Room service staff made up our room everyday for us. We are giving this property 10/10.
