What Guests Say About Their Stay

We had a good one night stay here. The House is within a couple of blocks of both the bus and train stations. Just be aware that there is not an elevator; we dragged outer heavy bags up three flights. We were there in a beautiful summer Saturday night, so there was a lot of noise from parties down below; this is the only negative thing about this property and would likely not be as bad any other night of the week. There was a small well equipped kitchen on the third floor, but the second floor has a huge kitchen, sitting area and TV. We left our bags there for a couple of hours while we were out and about the next day. I would stay here again!

Very convenient location, right in the heart of Inverness. Close to some great pubs with live music which we really enjoyed. Nearby parking was expensive but it is in the city centre! Clean and comfortable for a one night stay.

Great central location complete with our own seagulls outside the window! Basically on the 4th floor - not a problem for us but might be for other people. Enjoyed our stay! There was a communal kitchen that we did not know about but might be helpful on longer stays.

Great location, easy to find, right in middle of town, short walk from train station, lots of stairs to climb. Comfortable room but strong smell from bathroom and noisy all night with birds on the roof.

Great location if you want easy access to bars and restaurants, but that is also why it is not a good location if you like quiet. Room was functional with a comfortable bed, decent shower, and space to get organized.

This really was a central location to all the places we wanted to see and restaurants we wanted to go to. The beautiful river Ness is just around the corner too. Keep an eye out over a week in advance for directions on how to check in, and the email might go to your spam, so check there too. The staff was very responsive and friendly though when I called to ask about checking in. Our main reasons for four stars instead of five is just how small the room was and how noisy it is outside the window at night because it's located near so many pubs. Overall a good spot for what we needed!

This was a youth hostel type of house. Stair wells up 2 flights very inconvenient with a lot of luggage. Room was barely adequate and floor of entire building seemed to be tilted. check in was not what was expected. No person, just a code to enter.

Location great for closeness to rail station, and restaurants and walking along the river Ness. But also loud at night (we were there on a Friday night). Access to a kitchen and fridge was great. Very clean. Our plumbing worked but made noises at night. Towel heater did not seem to work.

Jacobite House was in a fabulous location in the heart of Inverness. The access to a shared kitchen was an added bonus. The room was really comfortable and the staff that we encountered were very generous in their support.

Entrance was tight and caused me to wonder about the condition of the room - but it was just fine and exactly as pictured. There is not air conditioning but there is a fan. I would not stay here in the warm summer months.
