Love to stay at Furama Riverfront. Nearby to MRT station, can go by walk to some restaurants and Clark Quay area just by walk around 10 - 15 minutes (depends on your choice of restaurant). Family friendly. And the most love for the room size, you can't choose another hotel in the central with that size and affordable price.

Overview of Furama RiverFront

Furama RiverFront has stood at 405 Havelock Road since 1972, according to the built-year field on its Traveloka listing, and the same data records its most recent renovation in 2019. That is more than half a century at one address, and the Furama group itself describes the property on its official website as its flagship hotel. The building rises 19 floors and holds 615 rooms, so this is a large, full-service property rather than a boutique stay.

The official site positions Furama RiverFront as a family-friendly four-star hotel that offers "a respite from the hustle and bustle" while acting as a springboard for exploring Singapore. Traveloka lists it as a 4-star hotel, and the property is tagged in Traveloka's kids-friendly hotel curation for Singapore, which matches the hotel's own emphasis on themed rooms, family rooms and play spaces for children.

Sustainability is another point that sets it apart. The hotel's website states that it holds GSTC Hotel Certification from the Global Sustainable Tourism Council and the BCA Green Mark Platinum Super Low Energy award, credentials that matter to companies and travellers who track the footprint of their stays.

Room Types at Furama RiverFront

The hotel's official rooms page lists a long ladder of categories, from straightforward doubles to themed suites for families. The categories and bed types below come from that page; the exact rooms on sale, their occupancy limits and per-room amenities for your dates appear on the Traveloka booking page when you search.

Superior and Deluxe

The Superior Room comes with a queen bed and is described by the hotel as offering comfort and convenience away from home. The Deluxe Room has a king bed and, in the hotel's words, "generous space for mobility or additional bed requirements", which makes it a practical pick if you expect to request an extra bed. A separate Deluxe Tropical category, also with a king bed, is described as a minimalistic room for a fuss-free stay and was refurbished in 2020, according to the official site.

Studio Queen and Studio Classic

The two Studio categories take a more contemporary approach. Studio Queen is described as a cosy room built around an ultra-comfy bed, a wide-screen Smart TV and a personal digital concierge. Studio Classic is presented as an upsized version of the Studio Queen, with a queen bed plus an extra pull-out bed, which can suit a small family or friends sharing.

Executive Club and Courtyard Club

Executive Club rooms have a king bed and, per the hotel, premium amenities and extra details for a more memorable stay. The Courtyard Club room, also with a king bed, stands out for its outdoor green terrace with a water feature and direct pool access; the hotel pitches it at couples and business travellers who want an alfresco corner of their own.

Family Room and Premier Family Room

The Family Room is fitted with two queen beds and special amenities for children aged 12 and below, along with children-friendly furniture. The Premier Family Room goes further, with extra bed space in the form of bunk beds, a large bathroom and kids' amenities, according to the official description.

Theme Room, Theme Suite and Theme Courtyard Club

Themed accommodation is a signature of Furama RiverFront. The Theme Room offers four different themes, while the Theme Courtyard Club features a different theme in each room. The Theme Suite is listed by the hotel at 56 square metres with two separate bedrooms and kids-friendly amenities, making it the largest family-oriented option with a confirmed size.

Executive Suite and Executive Family Suite

The Executive Suite has a king bed and a separate seating area with a lounge and a generous LCD TV that partitions the bedroom from the living space. The Executive Family Suite, also with a king bed, is described as a sanctuary with dark wood furnishings and a soft colour palette. At property level, Traveloka's in-room facilities list includes a desk, hairdryer, in-room safe, shower and TV; check each room description on the listing for the exact features of the category you choose.

Facilities and Amenities

For a hotel of this size, the facility list is extensive, and the official website adds a number of on-site partner venues that most city hotels do not have. Traveloka's listing confirms an outdoor pool, a children's play area, free WiFi and LAN internet, WiFi in public areas, lifts and a safety deposit box.

  • Pool and fitness: an outdoor swimming pool on Level 5 with a jacuzzi and sundeck, and a gym on the same level, per the official amenities page.
  • Families: a kids play area on Level 1 beside reception, a nursery room for breastfeeding and nappy changes, highchairs, connecting rooms and babysitting with a surcharge (the hotel asks for advance notice).
  • Sport and play partners: padel and pickleball courts on Level 5, Hidden Castle Golf Club for indoor golf, an Anytime Fitness outlet, and the WondersWork STEAM programme for children.
  • annex@furama: an adjoining space that the official site lists as home to the Waka Waka Indoor Playground, Kidztropic Cove for children up to six, Funky Monkey cafe and the MapleBear Havelock preschool.
  • Business and events: a business centre, conference rooms, meeting facilities, a reception hall, banquet space and wedding services, plus a Work-From-Hotel area on Level 1 with a waterfall backdrop.
  • Practical extras: self-service laundry on Level 5 of the Tower Block, a 24/7 vending machine in the lobby, a 7-Eleven on Level 1, EV charging lots in the Level 3A car park, and parking with a surcharge.

Service is round the clock: Traveloka lists a 24-hour receptionist, 24-hour security, concierge, a money changer, express check-out, laundry service, luggage storage, medical service, multilingual staff and tour arrangements. Bicycle rental and bicycle storage are also listed, which is handy for riding the riverside paths. Accessible parking, an accessible path of travel and wheelchair access are confirmed on the listing.

Location and Getting There

Furama RiverFront sits at 405 Havelock Road, Singapore 169633, in the area Traveloka files under Clarke Quay. Havelock Road runs parallel to the upper stretch of the Singapore River, so guests are within reach of the quays and the city centre.

Public transport is the hotel's strongest location card. The official website says the hotel is only a five-minute walk from Havelock MRT Station, and from Exit 5 it is about a two-minute walk after crossing Outram Road. The hotel also notes that Orchard Road is two stops away and Outram Park MRT one stop, with onward connections towards Changi Airport. Tiong Bahru MRT is also named as a nearby station, and Great World station is close by for its amenities.

  • Nearest MRT: Havelock (about five minutes on foot, per the hotel)
  • Other nearby stations: Outram Park, Tiong Bahru and Great World
  • Ride-hailing: the hotel lists Grab, Gojek, Tada, Ryde and ComfortDelGro's Zig app as options
  • Airport: an airport transfer is available with a surcharge, and a limo or town car service is listed

Flying in? You can book flights to Singapore on Traveloka and then arrange the hotel's airport transfer, or take the MRT via Outram Park if you are travelling light. Drivers will find on-site parking with a surcharge, accessible parking bays and EV charging.

Dining at Furama RiverFront

Traveloka's property data records two restaurants and one bar at Furama RiverFront, and the hotel's own dining page names the outlets. Breakfast is served from 06:00 to 10:30, according to the listing's breakfast policy, with both buffet and à la carte formats listed; if your rate does not include breakfast, an extra-breakfast charge per guest applies at the hotel.

  • Apollo: the all-day dining restaurant, with a curated selection of à la carte mains spanning Western, Chinese and Indonesian dishes in a naturally lit room; it also handles private dining for up to 30 guests.
  • Kintamani Restaurant: an Indonesian restaurant, described on the hotel homepage as serving Balinese and Indonesian cuisine.
  • Waterfall Lounge: a lounge for drinks and light bites on Level 1, which the hotel also uses as its executive lounge.
  • In-room dining: 24-hour room service is confirmed on both the Traveloka listing and the official amenities page.
  • Furama e-Delivery: the hotel's own delivery and collection service.

Within the building, Wildcard Café and Bar on Level 1 offers coffee, wine and all-day dining, and Funky Monkey cafe sits in annex@furama. Beyond the hotel, the quays and the Tiong Bahru neighbourhood are within easy reach, and you can browse things to do in Singapore on Traveloka to pair a meal with an attraction or food tour.

Why Stay at Furama RiverFront

The clearest reason to choose Furama RiverFront is family travel. Furama RiverFront brings together themed rooms, a dedicated Theme Suite with two bedrooms, Family Rooms with two queen beds, a kids play area, a nursery room and an indoor playground in an adjoining annex. Parents can keep children busy on rainy afternoons without leaving the building, then head out by MRT when the weather clears.

It also works for business and events. With 615 rooms, conference rooms, a banquet hall and wedding services, the hotel can host a company offsite or a family celebration and still have rooms for leisure guests. The Executive Club and Courtyard Club categories, the Work-From-Hotel area and the sustainability certifications add appeal for corporate bookers.

Finally, the location balances access and calm. Havelock MRT is a short walk, Orchard Road and Outram Park are a couple of stops away, and the Clarke Quay riverside is within easy reach for an evening out. If you would like to weigh the alternatives first, you can compare other hotels in Singapore on Traveloka.

We had a fantastic stay at the Furama RiverFront Singapore. The hotel is in a great location, making it easy to get around and explore the city, while still being quiet and comfortable at the end of the day. The breakfast buffet was a real highlight. There was an excellent selection of fresh, high-quality food with something for everyone, from Asian favourites to Western options, fresh fruit and pastries. It was the perfect way to start each morning. The pool was another standout feature—clean, spacious and a great place to relax after a day of sightseeing. The staff were also exceptional throughout our stay: friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with a smile. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and overall the hotel offered excellent value for money. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Furama RiverFront to anyone visiting Singapore. We would happily stay here again.

Wifi is terrible. Not possible to work from your room. Asked staff for help to fix wifi and was told it would be fixed but it didn’t happen. Went down to reception to book extra nights unexpectedly and was told to do it online. Pool is great for kids. To use the playrooms you need to pay for 2 of the 3. Despite writing ‘Prawn Allergy’ on the room service, Prawn crackers were added to meal twice. Locations is great with easy access to China Town and 7/11 next door for the bits and pieces. Comfortable beds, great sheets and pillows. House keeping are excellent.

Location was pretty good. Probably the best thing about this hotel. Short walk to the riverfront and Tiong Bahru food centre/market. Easy to get transportation though we used taxis and Grab everywhere so can’t comment on MRT though the station was nearby. Room was cleaned every 3 days unless you requested it. Swimming pool was quite busy and not very clean unfortunately. The property has had a refurb but possibly more could be done as it is quite busy. Would recommend if you’re after a reasonably priced hotel and you’re travelling as a family and want a good location with easy to reach amenities. 7/11 is just outside the hotel entrance.

The Furama Riverfront is a very nice and well presented hotel - it looks fancy. Importantly, the rooms are quite generous in size compared to other hotels in Singapore we have stayed with. The food options were numerous with at least 3 resturaunt options and room service. The staff at reception were wonderful and helpful, the resturaunt staff were great too. There was also a pool and tennis court for those NOT out exploring everything Singapore has to offer. The only draw backs were the internet/wifi was a bit patchy from time to time but that can be normal for big hotels, and the mattress for our room (Superior Room) was VERY hard. Apart from that the rooms A/C was great, water pressure in the shower was good and there was also a bath for relaxing. Would highly recommend.

Hotel is dated and in need of an upgrade to the rooms. Found the bed to be hard which didn't suit me much. Elevators were slow and with a room close by, the constant beeping from them was annoying. Buffet breakfast was okay, but no pork bacon which was disappointing. Pre arrival, we received a email stating room would be made up every 3 days during our stay, not acceptable given the heat and humidity so I requested it be done daily, which it was. House keeping was at a good standard. As for the location, found it perfect, with a short walk to Havelock MRT station which connects everywhere and a 10 minute walk to local Hawker food centre with great food selection at cheap prices. Room service however was terrible, ordered food on one occasion to receive well overpriced food from a local shop somewhere which was delivered by Uber style delivery.
