Staff is not very friendly. Room is small. Food is so-so. In terms of cleanliness is good, location has 2 MRT stations nearby the hotel.

The price is very reasonable because the hotel is new, the location is beautiful and convenient for traveling, but the room is quite small (15m2) and the check-in process takes a bit of time! However, compared to many places, the hotel is quite new and clean, with full amenities such as a gym and a large swimming pool!

Nice hotel nice location for me as traveller

The staff is not friendly at all, even when I want to check in, they ignore me for a good certain amount of time till I have to ask TWICE if I can check in or not. They are very racist as well, when it comes to "white people", they treat them so much more nicer compare to any asian guests. One of my experience is when I was about to enter the elevator, there were a staff member who is keeping the door open, but when I was about to enter, he immediately press the closing door button even tho I'm right behind the "white" couple. The room is also quite small, a bit congested for 2 guests. Id say for the price, there are many other accommodations around the china town area that are nicer with friendlier staff as well. Personally, I won't be coming back

Pros: location & nearby foods, fairly new & nice looking design wise. Elevators were plenty so we never had to wait long to go down/up. Cons: first off, the room is very small. The bathroom is also very small. Not really recommended if you are staying in the room with more than 1 people. We checked in at around midnight, got to the room and found the sink is leaking. Since the room is very small and the sink is near the door water got to our shoes. The AC was also not working. We were already very tired from our travels and had to deal with these issues, trully did not expect these standards from a 4 star mercure hotel. It was not a good first impression at all. Reception was fast enough to call maintenance, however we only managed to change the room after we insisted. The second room did not have AC and sink problem, but had no bidet (the first room did). So had to call up maintenance again to request them to install it. By then it was already 3AM and we had to be up by 8AM for our schedule. Lucky we were only there for 2 nights. For the price we paid, I think we can find better hotels somewhere else. Location did not compensate for any of the negative experience we had.

Its way too small for 2 people to stay. The bathroom, the toilet size, horrible. Stayed there for 3 nights, almost got claustrophobic. Other than that, the cleanliness is good, the staff is good, the location is superb, lots of bars and restaurants. Close to MRT too.

The hotel is great! It 's near everything, the pool is cool also. Either way, their food is yumm but don't have a lot of variation (probably they should upgrade their variation of their breakfast.) The room is quite small but comfortable, since some people goes to SG here for holiday or work, it 's enough for you to have a wonderful rest. Oh well, it 's such a great hotel to choose!

There was no bath robes given in the hotel. I was told"Its a new hotel so we don't have any bath robes in this hotel"by the hotel. It 's strange because which hotel doesn't provide bath robes? Hotel has very thin walls so we can hear the sound of TV from next door which was quite disturbing. Our room 1147 was located opposite the linen room, our entire stay was disturbed as the hotel staff will"hang out and chat"near the linen room so we are able the hear all their conversations and laughs. What 's worst was we could hear people talking loudly first thing in the morning which disturbed our sleep. It was honestly quite depressing experiences overall and I would not suggest anyone to visit this hotel. To summarise, Mercure icon singapore City Centre is a budget hotel covertly disguised as a high end premium hotel.
