What Guests Say About Their Stay

The room was really spacious. It was a lovely experience especially since we wanted to try living in a shophouse. The staircase in the loft is very steep and narrow, might not be suitable for the elderly and children. The room would be even better if there was a bidet or a spray for the toilet bowl! Cleanliness in times of COVID ๐Ÿ™‚

The moment we stepped into our room, we were so pleasantly delighted ๐Ÿ‘ This is a Heritage Award Winning hotel and really gives a nostalgic feeling. The mini bar is free (first round) is a very nice touch. Though itโ€™s nothing fancy but it brings on a smile ๐Ÿ˜Š The location is good ๐Ÿ‘ and thereโ€™s plenty of good cafes and restaurants within 5-10 minutes walking. Nearby Bussorah Street was great for dinner and the atmosphere was so good. My family really enjoyed it.

We will surely miss this place. The rooms were so convenient and clean. Good food on free breakfast and you have lots of choices of food store outside few steps away only. Malls are just walking distance. Staffs are great and hospitable. We'll always come back here to stay whenever visiting Singapore.

Though the room is pretty noisy because we were given the room that was located in the back building and near the street, I like the room and breakfast. The design of the hotel is super amazing. Combining the old building with new interior and design makes the stay as an amazing experience. The location of the hotel is also not really far from the Bugis and Marina Bay.

Moving from a 4-star hotel, The Sultan was not to be underestimated. From the moment we set eyes on the all-white, historic building, I just knew the vibes will be aesthetic. All my senses were challenged by this beautiful 3-star hotel. We stepped to a simple-but-cozy reception, greeted by friendly & helpful staffs. Checked in to our room with no hassle, whilst inhaling a spa-like aroma of our room. The room space was adequate for a 3-star hotel, and surprised with the spacious bathroom - Even bigger than our previous 4-star hotel. Perfect location as well, close to good foods, convenient stores, & bus stops. The only 2 things missing: full body mirror & slippers.

Great hotel for young couple or solo traveler. Location is between Lavender and Bugis MRT station and it 's easy to find foods in general or to suit a halal diet around this area. It does not offer breakfast services but overall service staff is super helpful and informative. We really enjoy the comfortable bed and great design of the hotel. Downside is if you stay in the Aliwal wing with windows facing the Aliwal street, it may get noisy at some point.

What I love the most about the hotel is its strategic location! It is located in a very nice neighbourhood, lots of choices of halal food restaurants around the area. The hotel is also within walking distance to Bugis Junction and Mustafa center. The room was a bit small but totally fine for me. I totally recommend you this hotel, either for business trip or for leisure.

The hotel room was spacious, however due to the old windows and the proximity of the hotel to the street, there was very poor sound insulation and the sounds/noises from the outside, including the daily prayer at dawn from the mosque nearby, prevented us from having any good sleep.

We stayed in Rm 135 at first. Room quite airy and appeared clean but there was a strange smell. At night, I was bitten and we found several tiny bugs in the bed under the covers. Requested a room change. To their credit, the staff was apologetic and immediately moved us to a bug-free room on the second floor. Other than that, check in and meals were punctual and we enjoyed the complimentary minibar.

It was our anniversary and the hotel employees prepared a chocolate cake for us (it was delicious). A very warm welcome from them! I stayed in the sultan loft, lots of space! We spent a lot of time in the bottom floor as the sofa was really comfortable. Enough room for two to share it lying down. And the bed upstairs was so comfy! Definitely worth the money and will consider heading back for another stay. Thank you for the hospitality! The breakfast was served to our room (we got nasi lemak and it was good)!
