The hotel's location is very strategic, close to the main street in Myeongdong. The hotel lobby is nice and there is a place to microwave food. It only takes 2 minutes to get to Myeongdong Night Market. For those who like shopping, this hotel is very well located. The rooms are very clean and nice, model vibes 4/5 star classic hotel model. The hotel staff is very professional and very helpful.

More about hotels in Seoul

Discover the Best Hotels in Seoul for Singaporean Travellers

Seoul, the vibrant capital of South Korea, has become one of the most beloved destinations for Singaporean travellers. From the glittering streets of Myeongdong to the artistic energy of Hongdae and the sleek sophistication of Gangnam, Seoul offers an irresistible mix of tradition, technology, and trend-setting culture. Booking a hotel seoul stay on Traveloka gives you access to thousands of properties at competitive SGD rates, complete with verified reviews, transparent pricing, and flexible cancellation policies. Whether you are visiting for K-beauty shopping, Korean barbecue feasts, or a deep dive into centuries-old palace culture, Traveloka helps you find the perfect base for your Seoul adventure.

Best Neighbourhoods to Stay in Seoul

Myeongdong — Shopping & K-Beauty Capital

Myeongdong is the undisputed shopping heart of Seoul and a favourite among Singaporean visitors. This bustling district is packed with flagship stores of Korean beauty brands like Innisfree, Etude House, Laneige, and Sulwhasoo, often at prices significantly lower than in Singapore. Street food stalls line the pedestrian walkways, serving everything from hotteok and tteokbokki to egg bread and tornado potatoes. Hotels in Myeongdong range from budget guesthouses starting at around SGD 50 | night to premium properties from SGD 150 | night. The area is served by Myeongdong Station on Line 4 and is within walking distance of Namdaemun Market and N Seoul Tower.

Hongdae — Youthful Energy & Nightlife

Named after the nearby Hongik University, Hongdae is Seoul's creative hub. The neighbourhood is famous for its indie music scene, street art, quirky cafes, and energetic nightlife. If you are a Singaporean traveller who enjoys live performances, underground clubs, and unique themed restaurants, Hongdae is your ideal pick. Hotels here tend to be affordable, with many modern options available from SGD 55 | night. The area is also a convenient base for day trips, as Hongdae Station connects to the Airport Railroad Express line from Incheon Airport.

Gangnam — Upscale Glamour

Made globally famous by the viral hit song, Gangnam is Seoul's upscale district known for high-end shopping, premium dining, and stylish entertainment venues. Hotels in Gangnam cater to business and luxury travellers, with five-star options starting from SGD 200 | night. The COEX Mall, one of Asia's largest underground shopping centres, is located here, along with the beautiful Bongeunsa Temple. Gangnam is connected by Line 2 and the Bundang Line, making it easy to reach other parts of the city.

Insadong & Bukchon — Cultural Immersion

For travellers who want to experience Seoul's traditional side, Insadong and the nearby Bukchon Hanok Village are ideal. Insadong is lined with art galleries, antique shops, and traditional tea houses, while Bukchon features beautifully preserved hanok houses set against the backdrop of modern Seoul. Staying in this area puts you close to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Changdeokgung Palace. Boutique hanok-style guesthouses offer a unique cultural experience, with prices starting from SGD 70 | night.

Dongdaemun — Late-Night Shopping

Dongdaemun is a legendary shopping district that never sleeps. The massive wholesale and retail fashion markets here stay open well past midnight, making it a paradise for Singaporean bargain hunters. The iconic Dongdaemun Design Plaza, designed by Zaha Hadid, is also located here and serves as a cultural landmark. Hotels in Dongdaemun are competitively priced, with many options from SGD 45 | night.

Top Attractions to Explore from Your Seoul Hotel

Gyeongbokgung Palace & Palace Quarter

Seoul is home to five grand palaces from the Joseon Dynasty, and Gyeongbokgung is the largest and most iconic. The Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place multiple times daily and is free to watch. Many visitors rent traditional hanbok attire, which grants free entry to the palaces and makes for stunning photographs. Changdeokgung Palace, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, features a beautiful Secret Garden that requires a guided tour to visit.

N Seoul Tower & Namsan Mountain

Perched atop Namsan Mountain, N Seoul Tower offers panoramic views of the city skyline. You can reach it by cable car, bus, or on foot via scenic hiking trails. The observation deck is particularly spectacular at night, when the city lights stretch to the horizon. The love lock fence at the base of the tower has become a romantic landmark for couples visiting Seoul.

K-Beauty Shopping

For many Singaporean travellers, K-beauty shopping is a primary reason to visit Seoul. Beyond Myeongdong, the Garosu-gil area in Gangnam is home to flagship stores and concept shops from premium brands. Olive Young, Korea's largest health and beauty chain, has stores throughout the city offering exclusive Korean products at duty-free prices. The exchange rate from SGD to KRW often makes Korean skincare and cosmetics significantly cheaper than purchasing them in Singapore.

Understanding SGD to KRW for Your Seoul Trip

The South Korean Won is the local currency, and as of recent rates, SGD 1 is approximately equivalent to KRW 980 to 1,000. While credit cards are widely accepted in Seoul, it is advisable to carry some cash for street food stalls, traditional markets, and smaller shops. Money changers in Myeongdong typically offer the best exchange rates in the city. Many Singaporean travellers also use multi-currency cards for added convenience.

Best Time for Singaporeans to Visit Seoul

Seoul experiences four distinct seasons, which is a refreshing change for Singaporeans accustomed to tropical weather. Spring from March to May brings cherry blossoms and mild temperatures, making it the most popular season for visitors. Autumn from September to November offers stunning foliage in vibrant reds, oranges, and yellows. Summer can be hot and humid with monsoon rains, while winter from December to February brings freezing temperatures and occasional snowfall, which many Singaporeans find exciting to experience. Hotel seoul prices tend to be highest during cherry blossom season and autumn foliage season, so book early on Traveloka to secure the best rates.

Getting Around Seoul

Seoul's public transport system is world-class and easy to navigate for Singaporean travellers. The Seoul Metro has over 20 lines covering virtually every corner of the city. A T-money card, similar to Singapore's EZ-Link card, can be used on subways, buses, and even taxis. Single subway fares start from KRW 1,250, making it incredibly affordable to travel across the city. Buses complement the metro system and reach areas not directly served by subway stations.

Why Book Your Seoul Hotel on Traveloka
