I had a pleasant stay at The Riverside Hotel in Gangnam. The location is great, and the staff were friendly and helpful. However, faced an issue with room—despite booking through Expedia where the listing clearly showed room with bathtub, were initially assigned two rooms without them. It took a third room change to finally get one with a bathtub, which was a bit frustrating. Other than that, everything else was enjoyable. The hotel facilities looked nice, although didn’t use them as the swimming pool and spa are chargeable, with discounts available, but the spa is exclusively for men. Overall, a good stay with a few hiccups along the way.

This hotel is awesome. Very clean. Not modern but that's okay with me. If you are a male go to the Men's Medi Spa in the hotel. That place is amazing, if I could, I would give the Spa 6 stars. The food is good, great atmosphere, relaxing massages, friendly staff, awesome hot tubs, and public bath.

This place has wonderful and professional staff, and honestly, the rooms are decent. But here’s where it goes downhill… The weekends are packed with weddings or other events on the 5th and 7th floor. That’s not an issue, but trying to get an elevator is a real pain. Sometimes you’re pressing for an elevator, and then, the elevator is going up and down, and all over the place, but just not picking you up. So then other people end up button-mashing for the other elevators, and it kinda’ holds up the process. PLUS there are no stairs to use except for emergency situations, if you can find them. I mean, there are other elevators scattered through this building, why aren’t they dedicated to those floors? People keep crowding up these elevators that the staying guests are using. Not to mention, because of the events, traffic to here is a PAIN! If someone’s meeting you here, getting dropped off is not easy at all. Oh, and just to be clear, the fee for losing your card is 11000Won (less than $11, depending on exchange rates). Annoying, but they let you now upfront. Worst of all though, is about 2.5hrs before checkout, they actually cut off your internet. Seriously? Oh, but connect at your own risk, because there’s no encryption, so I guess that saves them money on having to hire a full IT team to manage map out and manage their network. Anyways, time to get out of this place.

This hotel has a nice lobby but the rooms are so old and dirty. The grey carpet is almost black with dirt, the smell is fishy in the hallways, the rooms have broken cabinets, had fruit flies and small cockroach. There was a problem with their room door (wouldn’t fully close) and the air conditioning would turn to heater! We had to call multiple times. They refuse to refund us so we ended up paying for another booking at another hotel. The Wifi was almost non-existent . It will connect for 20 seconds and will stop. They said they do not have good WiFi and cannot do anything about it. The only good thing I can say about this hotel was the restaurant at the lobby. Food was ok.

I and my parter are shocked as soon as we got into the room.Hotel lobby seems ok but room floor was awful, old and cheap.(worse then the 2star business hotel) i booked this hotel because it’s 4 star ranked and located near sightseeing spot. ( don’t deceived by photo on the web!completely fake) the room was so dark, uncleaned, outdated and very filthy. hotel room and toilet smells like rotten eggs, seriously smells bad. Really bad...! Ripped bed linen, dented door,no coffee, lack of amenities, , noise from air-conditioner all night long,,everything was just awful. I would never ever stay here again and this place ruined our stay in seoul.

This hotel is terrible. It is way overpriced for the quality and condition. What you get is more similar to a cheap motel. My first room smelled like mold and sewage, and there was no way to open a window or circulate any air. I requested a new room from the desk and explained that the air system wasn't working, and he explained that there was no air - only heat could be turned on - even though the room was humid and hot. Next, I was moved to a room that was clearly a downgrade from what I had paid for, but I received no refund. The room was dirty - there was loose dirt and powder on the floor, marks and smudges on the walls, and hair in the sink. There was still no air, but there was a small window I could open - which is ridiculous because the air quality was terrible while I was in Seoul. The bathroom still smelled like mold, but, at this point, I realized there wasn't going to be a better option. The atmosphere of this hotel is dirty and shady. I will never stay here again, and I'm upset that I paid the price of a 4-star hotel for the quality of a 1- or 2-star $15 motel.

I will never book this hotel again, it would be my 10th night, the whole entrance to the reception and adjoining rooms have all been renovated, it is loud, dirty and dusty. The room carpet is dirty etc.

Not much unique... Hotel has nice lobby, but the rooms are pretty shabby worn down and quite filthy by Western standards. Perhaps it is appropriate for the price, I don't know. I stayed here because it was close to customer sight.

The room was very small and really dark. Power suppy was located deeply under table that made too difficult to recharge a phone. Shower water was also weak. A night club as a part of the hotel made noise all night, & the club visitors blocked the hotel entrance and even elevator access. Absolutely needs some control.

The worst hotel during our stay in seoul. Very bad customer service. They cannot speak english well. Room very dirty. Rust everywhere. During the weekend i saw vomit around the hotel. They ask for money for every service you ask. Very bad experience. Look different from the picture. It is fake picture showed at hotel.com
