Hotel Conde Rodrigo II by eme hoteles

Nice hotel in a country setting, very well maintained, staff with a uniformly friendly and positive spirit and food was fantastic. The nearby town is a historical fun place to discover. Overall our expectations were exceeded.

Very interesting hotel, lots of bullfighting photos. Also it has magnificent rooms for a ball or a wedding. Had a wonderful night's stay there and wished we could stay longer. The staff were all very friendly, not much English spoken except for the young lady on the reception desk but we all seemed to understand what was being said. There are lovely grounds to the hotel and good for a walk. Secure parking if you need it.

For one month we have traveled Spain and Portugal and when we arrived at the Conde Rodrigo we were amazed at what we found. This is a resort hotel at a great price. The pool area is second to none that we have visited in years of travel! Soft music plays over the grassy area where lounges are place and the pool staff is there with towels. There is a bar in that area but it was quiet. The room was a picture of antiques and more than ample space for comfort. The meal in the dining room was beautifully presented and the breakfast was a buffet with eggs to order served hot at our table. The GPS had no idea about the location of the hotel. When we stopped in town a clerk drew a map and directed us around two round abouts and across a river. Eventually, we found the hotel but it was well worth the search. There are gardens, lawns, statues, tennis courts and even a bull ring. You should book this hotel!
