Costa Marbella Star Light

I did not enjoy my stay at all. When I arrived at the hotel, there was no one at the front desk and had to wait approximately 20 minutes since the front desk went to run errand. Meanwhile, in the waiting area, there were mosquitoes because there was a garbage can full waiting to be thrown out. The bed in my room felt like it was going to sink and was on its last legs. No coffee maker or tea kettle in the room when I asked for one, they left a pot for me. The bathroom trash can was missing the lever and had to push down on a piece of metal that was sticking out. Overall, the condition of the place just felt old and uncomfortable.

We booked this place for the kitchenette. Which was basically non existent. We had to stay on the first floor. It was loud, there’s no elevator to what I assume are better options. The area was fine. The hotel is in transition.

Usually a good place to stay but the room this time looked nothing like the pictures. It was worn out, had broken wardrobe and cabinet doors, faulty room door and was incredibly noisy throughout.

Good location and generally it serves its purpose. This time round it looks as if there were three Spanish families staying in different rooms and not only were they very loud but their children ran from room to room till very late at night!

Convenient and well located.

The fridge didn’t work and after a few attempts to let receptionists know about that problem I understood it will not be fixed. Also the evening before I left the gate with code broke and the gate had to stay open all night. Otherwise very good location, friendly staff, clean.

First of all, the wifi did not work in my room, the staff were no help. The room overall was ok for the price, however, it should be noted that the mirror was cracked, the towels had stains on them. It’s a shame as the location was excellent. Probably wouldn’t stay again.

THIS "HOTEL" deserves no more than 1.5 star. I put 3 stars over 5 for eco friendliness as they even keep towels with holes... Photos are not showing reality, windows, lighting is hard with extra cold strong lights, and totally white walls (excepts stains on them...), you could feel in a bad hospital room. Furnitures etc are super cheap. Staff is not friendly, not professional (when you put your hotel rooms on a website, you check information showed about it), nor flexible. I was not given the room that I order. Security issues as some electric cables are on the air... And that was supposed to be a deluxe...

I was excited about booking this property based on its location and the pictures. The location was very good, but there were a few hiccups with ultimately impacted our stay. Firstly, the hotel doesn’t have 24-7 reception, you should clarify beforehand. Unfortunately I didn’t and the only way to contact the hotel was to call (not able to WhatsApp at least on the messaging we got from them- though it seems WhatsApp would have worked). Luckily, the reception staff were very helpful and allowed us to leave our bags until check in later. When we checked in, we settled into the room we were given which didn’t look like the pictures, seemed a little dirty and unlocked after (missing skirting boards, light switches not fully adherent to walls, bathroom cleanliness not ideal). Then when I used the sink, it was fully clogged. We had to contact reception since they had left and had to wait 30 min till they came back to assign another room. We were only in Marbella for the day so this was eating precious sunlight hours for us. The second room we were given was a bit smaller but reeked of smoke, so much so that when I left the room, my clothing smelled like smoke. So we had to change rooms again, we were then showed a much smaller room without a kitchenette and eventually were upgraded to a different building with a much more spacious room. While they tried to fix things after the fact satisfactorily, this all should have been checked beforehand rather than the hassle

The room itself was a good size and in a good position. We thought that the traffic on the main road outside the apartment would keep us awake but we were wrong. What did keep us awake was the sound of the TV next door at 4am. In the end I banged on the wall and the volume on the TV was lowered but you could still hear it. I suppose that you can't blame the landlord for this Mattress was not very comfortable

Enjoyed my stay here as it was totally comfort, in the Old Town and quite attractive. I would recommend this one to anyone who is on a reasonably low budget but wants to avoid the inconveniences and shabbiness of hostels or low budget accommodations.

Very nice appartment in central Marbella. Within walking distance of both the beach promenade and the old town.

Very comfy and trendy place. Great view of the strip. There’s no elevator if you have heavy or big bags you may struggle. Good location near the beach and shops.

nice apartment,lovely staff,esp Mohammad,who after getting soaked trying to find it,went out and got me a coffee,thanks Mohammad👍 only draw back,noisy riad and tiny sign stating only Selin,which i missed several times,but overall lovely stay,very very central.

Initially disappointed as we were next to a main road but, after the first night, we never noticed the traffic noise. The apartment was well equipped (no kettle though) and clean. Staff were very helpful and immediately dealt with any requests - thank you Ayesha. Location was great. Very near to the beach and close to the old town. We really enjoyed our stay.

In an ideal place for Marbella town. Modern however quite small apartment , bed small and uncomfortable as 3/4 bed and one pillow each. One bath towel between us. Extras can be provided but at extra cost. Noise from street even with windows shut. No lift and we were on 3rd floor. Marble staircase beware when coming down final stairwell as no bannister or grab rail to hold onto.

My stay was amazing! Muhammad was accessible 24 hours a day. The apartment is centrally locked. And I will be back 😉

The room was just cleaned when we arrived and there was coffee for breakfast although it was not included, I forgot my mobile in the room after checking out but I had great response to get it back

The property had no elevator and no one would help with your luggage. Have back pain ever ever since. The checking process was messy & the person managing the property had to be chased oriundo to get checked in. Not even soap to wash your hands. Should be listed as hostel

The host Victoria was very helpful. Housekeeping and personnel amenities needs improvement prior to arrival. We needed to ask for some basic items soap, toilet paper, shampoo etc
