Finca La Fronda

Very peaceful stay in the hills. Nice small villages/town nearby for returns etc. very relaxing

Meticulously clean, spacious room and public areas in a beautiful wooded hillside setting with lovely views. Our hosts, Alec and Cristina, were gracious, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfasts and dinners they prepared were brilliant, with them happily accommodating both vegetarians and omnivores! Exceptional experience, most highly recommended

The Finca is perfectly situated to easily get around the Sierra de la Aracena. The place itself is beautiful and very calming. It feels quite intimate yet comfortable and Cristina and Alec are wonderful hosts. They arranged a number of day trips for us to a ham producer and mushroom foraging and Alec is a fantastic chef so be sure to try dinner there!

We had a wonderful time at this fantastic finca. The evening meal, cooked by Alex was delicious and the breakfast very tasty.The bedrooms were very large and the bed was big and very comfortable. The views from the terrace of the restaurant were stunning and the location, high up in the mountains was perfect.

The hotel is situated in a magical setting, high in the mountains with fabulous views. Excellent large room, lovely dining and sitting rooms (with log fire on chilly evenings) and outside patio. We were warmly greeted by Alec, also a talented chef, and Charles was a delightful host. Homemade jams and marmelades, quince jelly and yoghurt, water from the well - thoroughly recommended for a special holiday.

We loved our two nights at Finca La Fronda. It is in a lovely, secluded spot with long distance views. The location is perfect for walkers, as there is an extensive network of trails accessible direct from the hotel The welcome at Finca la Fronda is very personal from Christina and her brother Alex (and father, Charles). Alex does all the cooking, and the dinners we had at the hotel suited us perfectly. There is no choice - just well-cooked, unfussy food using good quality ingredients. Breakfasts feature homemade cakes, jams (there is a jam menu!) and yoghurt. There are two terraces that catch the morning and evening sun. The reception areas and bedrooms are understated and comfortable. If you have the chance, try the musical evening at the week-end - great fun! Dinner is taken in the sitting room with an excellent musician playing songs chosen by the guests. The evening we went, the musician nimbly swapped between Spanish and English, as well as playing a huge range of music.

When we could not find an satisfactory apartment in the area, we opted for Finca la Fronda as a fall back option...Boy are we glad it worked out this way!!!...We would never have gotten to know the area the way we did had we not had the information provided by the co-owner Christina...the meals (in-house and in area restaurants) and hikes she laid out for us to were more interesting than many we have experienced on guided hiking tours we have spent fortunes on. The Saturday night dinner with a cabaret concert provided by her husband was great fun. We are a very reserved lesbian couple but somehow Christina and her brother (co-owner) always made us feel like we were a part of their celebration of life after we returned from our exciting days of exploring this beautiful slice. Oh and the rooms and communal living room were most inviting...I should also mention that breakfast and their optional in-house dinners were sumptuously devoted to local organic produce.

Alec and his father runs an amazing place for a relxing and enjoyble holiday! All the details , from the decor to service and meals (supper and breakfast) are super high and super quality! We higlly recomend everyone who wants a special vacation in nature but with the top standarts to book Finca La Fronda!

Finca situada en un lugar bucolico, en plena naturaleza. Lugar para desconectar y cargar pilas. Cristina y Alec nos ha acogido con mucho cariño y amabilidad cuidando el minimo detalle. Muchas gracias por vuestra hospitalidad.

Wij hebben een hele fijne vakantie gehad in finca la fronda. Het is eigenlijk een groot landhuis met gastenkamers. En die kamers zijn echt reusachtig. De eigenaren zijn super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Elke avond wordt er een heerlijk 4 gangen diner geserveerd, waarbij rekening wordt gehouden met wensen. Éen keer in de week is er een gezellige avond met zang en diner. Voor het ontbijt wordt iedereen verzocht een online formulier in te vullen, zodat het prompt de volgende ochtend geserveerd wordt. Wij hebben prachtige wandelingen gemaakt in de omgeving, aan te bevelen voor natuur liefhebbers. Het hotel heeft een uitstekende prijs kwaliteit verhouding

Arrivati qui di passaggio leggendo le belle recensioni, non possiamo che confermare. Oltre a pulizia e ottima colazione abbiamo apprezzato molto l'umanità e la disponibilità dei proprietari.

Endroit magnifique calme propre. Superbes repas et pdj.Une fois la présence des propriétaires . Charmant acceuil Petit bémol. Pas de réception a notre arrivé. et commande du petit déjeuner la veille via un QR code.Difficile de savoir de quoi les lendemains sont fait. Néanmoins nous recommandons cet endroit de charme.
