Fonda Biayna

Before I booked I read all the reviews and there were those who hated the place and those who obviously loved it so I decided to give it a go. We have a house on the coast so at worst we could have driven back home. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The Fonda is situated right in the centre of a pleasant village and the reception was manned. We were offered a choice of a 1st or 2nd floor room and chose the 1st floor.The room simply furnished with bright blue woodwork and really gorgeous wide varnished floorboards. The en suite was very small with a hip bath with a shower over and as usual the shower bracket was broken. Everything looked very clean and the bed had a nice blue cotton cover which one could tell was freshly washed. However on the down side there was a crack in the basin and the curtains were not really wide enough for the window but we have stayed in a 4 star hotels and had similar problems. We paid £81 for the 2 of us for 2 nights including breakfast and we both thought this was good value. The breakfast was typical with muesli , cooked meat, bread, toast, orange juice and freshly made coffee and on the one morning croissants We ate there on both nights and had the 11.90€ menu and found the menu limited but the food was good, freshly cooked and includes wine.There was not any tea or coffe making facilities in the room but experienced travellers will know that this is almost always the case. If you want tea or coffee use the bar.

Very plain. No frills. Sure, the restaurant and bar are attractive but they were usually empty. We never ate there because it didn't open until 9 pm. The rooms were extremely plain, small separate beds and minimal lighting. If you are at all overweight you will not fit into the space at the toilet. The scariest part is the balcony. Firstly, it was not private like they advertise, but it is very old and shakey. We were afraid to spend any time out there. The renovations they talked about were not evident- perhaps they were referring to the new sink and faucet. Other than that, it's a cute place from the outside and the neighborhood is charming.

The room was rustic; original wood floors, antique wooden furniture, etc. The room & en-suite were small, but fine. Some of the rooms had french doors that opened out onto a quaint wooden balcony that ran the length of the building (2nd floor rooms only). Nice views of the mountains and rising sun from 2nd floor. The shower was probably the best of the whole trip, although the bracket to hold it above one's head was missing, so i had to hold it up, but it was powerful, hot and didn't fluctuate. The bed was fine but could have done with a modern duvet, as it gets cold at night in this part of Spain, even at the end of summer. Dinner was served in the hotel from 9pm (but not before). all the other restaurants in town closed at 7 / 7:30, so either plan to eat before 7pm, or after 9pm.

This hotel situated in a lovely village is old and full of character and offers a great value stay, so long as, like us, you are happy to accept basic but very clean accommodation. Dinner, we paid separately, and breakfast were both good and friendly people running this hotel.

We enjoyed our stay in this traditional Spanish hotel in a quaint village in Northern Spain. The hotel staff were very friendly and the food and wine excellent! Many thanks for a lovely stay!

Отель на ремонте. В отеле только строители. Весит объявление на испанском. Отдых был испорчен. Никто меня перед поездкой не предупредил, что ремонт. Но предупреждали ,что сколько дней осталось до поездки.

Pedí 3 camas individuales por éramos una pareja y un niño! Y no tenían nos dieron una cama de matrimonio para 3!dijeron que. No tenían

No nos gusto llegar y encontrarnos la cama desecha, y con las sabanas del cliente anterior, tampoco que por la mañana no habia agua caliente no calefacciom, lo arreglaron a medio dia eso si

el trato con el amo nefasto, incapaz de resolver un problema el chico que atiende el comedor muy bién

Para pasar una noche tras jornada de Sky,,, muy bien.

Aunque el establecimiento no esta mal el personal no ayuda nada. En teoria el desayuno empieza a las 8;15 pero hasta las 9 no aparece nadie. Y aunque pedí expresamente por temas d trabajo el desayuno puntual fue imposible. Desayuno escaso y de mala calidad. Es barato pero no merece la pena

La alcachofa de la ducha estaba rota y salia agua por todos lados. El lavamanos estaba roto y la limpieza de la habitación dejaba mucho que desear.

La estancia ha sido gradable, buen servicio y buena situación.

Hostal antiguo pero correcto, si te gusta lo autentico es tu lugar. Muy agradable y precio inmejorable ;)

decepcionante sólo hay una persona para todo tuvimos que esperar un buen rato para que nos recibieran y no hay nadie si necesitas algo ni de día ni de noche

Idéal pour une nuit. Hôtel ayant un charme d'antan pas désagréable. Chambre correcte, salle de douche egalement. Literie un peu vieillotte. Le personnel pourrait être un peu plus aimable. Mais je m'attendais à pire au vue des notes!
