Hotel Horizonte

It was everything we enjoy. Simple , good price, had all we needed. Just basically good beds and bathroom.

A cheap hotel very near the city centre. The room was simple, but clean, a basic bathroom, nice towels and a small fridge. The furniture was old but OK (advantages) On the other hand, I stayed on 4th floor with no air conditioning, it was terribly hot that I couldn't sleep. There was much noise from the street until late at night and I could also hear sounds from other rooms (TV, coughing etc.). The fridge is near the bed and you hear it as well. If you open the window people can look into your room from other rooms or from the corridor. I didn't feel well there at all and was looking forward to the morning. So if you don't mind heat and noises and the price and location is the most important for you, go for this hotel.

Very friendly frint desk staff

Staff very friendly. Stored our bags for the day no charge. Location was very central. Located in a side road which looked rundown but property was clean and room was very spacious.

Check in was long and painful mostly due to the new restrictions related to the previous clients not having the requested documents. The front desk cleck was very friendly and accomidating. Budget hotel doesnt not always mean cheap and old but unfortunately it how i will describe the horizonte hotel. A mix of cheap , old and run down furnitures. I had also some very strong douds about tge cleanliness i can only recomend to spend a few more euro and stay in another hotel even if your are looking at your budget

This is a nice hotel with friendly staff who make you feel at home. They are extremely warm and cooperative. The hotel is basic and the price is quite competitive. Location is very central at the heart of Santa Cruz and very convenient for tourism or work. I requested a quiet room and it was quiet. I was satisfied.

Its an absolute dump of a location with extremely strong cigarette smoking going on inside the hotel one of my kid ended up having breathing troubles, wife had headaches and we ended up leaving the hotel at 3am... extremely bad hotel and location is awful u have tiny tiny single roads with cars parked on one side not to mention hotel charges you 8 euros per night to park in their own car park... no microwave in the room n and if you need one you have to pay breakfast cost then got to a nesr by restaurant and use thiers... checked in 10 at night left at 3am because we couldn't stand to spend an other minute there... very very poor and shady area and bad hotel

The clerk's were very friendly and responsive. We were able to reserve a spot in a local car park and park the car early. There is no air conditioning in the room, but there are two fans that worked well.

Hotel Horizonte is perfect for the budget traveler in Santa Cruz. The rooms are basic but suited our needs just fine, and there is someone at the front desk 24/7 in case you have any questions. Our only complaint is that it’s listed as having parking available when that’s not really the case. We booked this particular hotel in part because we had a rental car and it was listed as having parking available. However, it’s located on a very narrow street with one spot for 15 minutes parking for check-in, but other than that, it looks like just street parking. When we inquired about parking during our check-in, we were told that they were full, so we had to park by the port in a garage for almost €16 per day. It’s only a few blocks away but we were a bit disappointed as we felt misled by the listing. But other than that, it was a great stay located very close to many shops, restaurants, and bars.

Started ok, receptionist was reasonably friendly and helpful, but then we got to the room, the room doors were grey with large numbering, reminded me of a cell door you get in police dramas, sadly the cell theme continued in the room, at first glance the room looked ok and we were glad to see a fridge, they had left windows in the room and bathroom open, when we shut these windows we realised why they were open in the first place, the bathroom stank of blocked drains. The bathroom was long but thin, when sat on the toilet the wall was right in front of you and the mosaic on the end of the bath was cracked and looked like it could harbour an army of germs. Then we tried to get some sleep, the bed was of the most basic of construction and creaked with every movement, the mattress was lumpy and the pillows were so limp they offered no support, also the fridge was so noisy we had to turn it off. On top of all that there were loose wires coming out of the wall and dirty skirting boards

Bad smell, veeeeery dirty and overall unpleasent. It was the worst experience of my life.

Really pleasantly surprised. After watching the tenerife match I needed a last minute place to stay and saw this place for €18. At first I couldn't find it but when I did it was on a back alley with graffiti all over walls and I thought oh god. Then when I went in it was a modern reception and it took me pleasantly by surprise. I then got into the lift (which was the only fault as it was old) and went into my room which was pretty large and I had a twin room with a good size bathroom with a bath / shower. It was perfect for me and ide definitely stay again!
