I guess my issue was not so much with the hotel as with the surroundings, icy sidewalks made it hard to get around Lulea. To find food beyond breakfast, you needed to walk or have a car. I had thought dinner was available in the hotel, but it wasn't.

Room was clean, toiletries not so good especially for Sweden, expected more local products rather than commercial.
Breakfast could do with more choice of cereal and fruit, pineapple and melon is not really much choice.

Located close to public transport, the hotel is convenient and inexpensive. There is a tasty, simple meal available for just 55 sek in the evening. Breakfast is the full hotel range. It's perfect if you are working or just need a comfortable place to sleep. If you want to be pampered and over eat, then this is probably not for you.
I travelled with a car. There is street parking available but I chose to leave it in a heated parking house and walk 500m. It wasn't expensive.

Hotel Arctic is the best in the lower price range. Friendly staff. You have an "good" view from the room, if you compare it to Naran Hotel or Amber Hotel. Because there you have no view at all.
You have 3 minutes longer to the center but that is worth it.
I would always choose Arctic Hotel again!

We stopped her for 5 nights in December. The hotel is right opposite the train station. You can also access it directly from the airport using the 104 bus. Or you can catch the 4 bus to downtown and it’s a 10 minute easy walk from there.
The hotel is not as young as it used to be but everything was well looked after, comfortable and clean.
Staff were friendly (in a Norrland way), wifi worked very well and breakfast was excellent.
We liked the location. It’s a short walk to the main area so it’s pleasant and quiet. Every bus we needed was within a few metres. Paths were well shovelled and gritted.
There is a great casual food place across the street (one of the top ten korv stands in all of Sweden). The reindeer and the fried pallt are highly recommended.
Coffee is available in the lobby around the clock.

Great hotel. Nothing fancy, but a perfect mid-range stay for two nights. The included breakfast buffet was cancelled, so free breakfast bags were given out instead. Will stay again!

It's just quite a typical, basic, but good hotel in Sweden. Nice and clean as you would expect. The single room is quite small, but fine for one person, one night. Just about 5-10 min walk in to the city centre. Pleased to find vegan yoghurts, oat milk and nice fruit in the breakfast buffet.
