Edith & Julia Bed and Breakfast

Water in the shower never got warm. Shower itself is grimy. Tiny beds with tiny thin blankets and one tiny pillow per bed. There never seemed to be anybody working there. Hotel is directly next to the highway so you never quite escape the noise. Generally miserable. There was no breakfast as advertised.

We loved Edith & Julia B&B! We arrived late in off-season. The owner Stefan had already sent us an email informing about check-in and his mobile number. When we were crossing the bridge to Öland we called him to inform that we were on our way and he responded quickly and was at the B&B when we arrived. He answered very knowledgeable all our questions about the island, the check-in went smooth and we were given a room with a private entrance. The room was good, clean and comfortable. Look forward to return to Öland to discover and enjoy the island more and we would definitely choose Edith & Julia B&B again!

It was great to stay here. The breakfast was simple but it was good. The owner of this hotel is very friendly and nice. Good budget hotel.

Julia met us and showed us exactly where everything we needed was located. The breakfast that was included was tasty and generous in portions. Our room and the common areas were decorated nicely. Unexpectedly, Wifi worked in our room, not just in the common area. The location was great for sightseeing the local tourist sites by car, but not walkable to restaurants. There was, however, a grocery across the street where guests could purchase food to prepare in the kitchen.

Daughter of the house gave us a very warm welcome! Room was cosy, Perfect lication, Breakfast was plentyful. Right opposite of the property is a small, Very well equipped supermarket located. We enjoid our stay very much and will always return to that B&B house. They didn't charge us for our first night, That we missed due to our extended stay at the Island of Gotland, Even we had booked the B&B for three nights, But spent there only two. I really appreciate such tolerant and more than cool business manners. Can't wait to stay at this place again. Edith & Julias B&B is perfectly located to discover the southern or nothern section of the Öland Island, The Zoo of Öland or the very nice town of Kalmar. The former school if the villeage of Rälla is an unrevealed jewel. Two thums up!!! Thank you for having us there!! We had a wonderful time.

Very friendly couple that runs that place. Old, historic former school-building, very lovely renovated. The owwner showed me my wooden cabin which was a cosy place to stay, much fun for any children, since the upper floor is fitted with 3 basic-beds and everything feels and looks like in a 23 foot sailing boat. I needed to departure early next morning, but got half of my fridgerator filled up by the owner with all kinds of stuff available for me for breakfast. Instant coffee/tee/sugar/basic kitchen equipment and a little kitchenette was included in the cabin. I had an very enjoyable stay. To bring a good book might be a good advice, since the evenings are VERY long this time of the year (November) and since the TV channel selection is unfortunately very poor. But this would be my only complain. Wireless Internet is available and works sufficiently fast.

We booked this B&B for a night since we were on our trip back to Germany and it was the most appealing one we saw on hotels.com. We were on a ferry with no online access for three hours and before we got off the boat I saw a message from Hotels.com saying they could not book this B&B (we already had a confirmation number!) and I should call the hotline. Don't know if this call cost a fortune, but the guy on the phone told me he can help me with finding a new location. It was almost bedtime and we were in a hurry. I said please call me back when you have offers. He called once when i was unable to pick up my phone. I was very disappointed since with a new call I had to explain the story from beginning, costing me even more money. With knowing that not every room is registered on Hotels.com we drove directly to the (apparently fully booked) and great!! Best Western in Oskarshamm and found a room. I am very disappointed of Hotels.com and would never book through them. Plus- no idea if the B&B really exists!

Boendet var bra och lagom avstånd till olika saker. Bra frukost, dock lite snålt tilltaget. Ett tips till ägarna är att man kan ha ett kylskåp med lite yoghurt och juice mm, där gästerna själva kan hämta och fylla på om så önskas. Saknade också en duschtvål och schampopump i duschen. Hyr man med sänglinne räknar man med att det ska finnas dusch tillbehör. Annars var det bra.

Trevligt område, mysig miljö och trevliga ägare. Kan verkligen rekomenderas att bo där. Man kan bo där med barn och utan då det är en familjevänligt samt husdjurs vänligt område. Nära till ica om man behöver handla något. Goda toast har de med. 😁

Trevligt och gemytligt bra frukost inget lyxhotell men jättebra BoB

Mycket ljud från trafiken utanför även under natten, gick därför ej att ha öppet fönster trots värmen. Smutsigt mellan madrasserna. Frukosten

Mysig friggebod utgjorde boende för oss i två nätter på detta pittoreska och småskaliga B&B. Eget WC uppskattades och duschen var mer eller mindre vägg-i-vägg, väldigt praktisk! Den var rymlig och hade gott om riktigt skönt varmvatten (och kallvatten också så klart). Friggeboden är verkligen liten, med betoning på liten, det måste man vara väl medveten om. Storleken i detta fall får inte vara en prioritet, annars finns risk för besvikelse. Loftet där sonen på 5-år huserade var väldigt uppskattad. Där trivdes han som en kung. Frukost serverades enligt en förifylld lista där man fick ange vad man önskade äta. Helt ok utbud. Läge väldigt nära en livligt trafikerad väg, ICA-butik på andra sidan. Nära till Borgholm och Solliden. Mycket trevligt värdpar, vänliga och hjälpsamma. Liten souvenirbutik finns på plats, liksom en mindre caféverksamheten. Notera att priserna på hemsidan inte riktigt stämmer. Vi betalade fullpris för vår 5-åring även om det på hemsidan angavs barnpriser. Vet inte om detta var korrekt men vid förfrågan bekräftades totalpriset av ägare som tre vuxna. Helt ok prissättning för övrigt. Städningen var normal, hade dock önskat lite bättre utvädring innan inflyttning. Gott om eluttag, kylskåp, liten diskbänk med husgeråd, bra med handdukar. Kan absolut tänka mig att bo här igen:)

Servicen var fenomenalt bra! Sängarna är lite hårda och rummen är inte dom största men det var värt det. Fantastik natur, affär mittemot över gatan, super bra service och väldigt god frukost. Kommer defenetivt återvända, rekomenderar starkt!

Vi fik en gammel utæt campingvogn og bo i der var et toilet og et bad som skulle deles med de andre gæster. De billeder vi så viste ikke de forhold som der er, havde ikke bestilt en campingvogn til overnatning, kan ikke på nogen måde anbefale det til andre. Er meget sur.

Ett helt okej boende bra med affär i närheten.

Boendet har potential att bli jättebra. Tyvärr så faller mycket på skötsel och standard. Man skulle tjäna på att lägga ner lite tid och pengar på att renovera och fräscha upp. Bra frukost förutom Lätta som smör.

Fanns saker som man kanske skulle kollat innan. T.ex. funkade inte tv o Disktrasa borde bytas ut. Värdparet trevliga. Stället låg bra till mitt på ön. Eftersom det var lågsäsong så var det ingen frukost, kanske man skulle påpeka i reklam att det bara är frukost under högsäsong.

Vi bookede om aftenen og i oktober udenfor sæsonen, så der var ikke personale på stedet. Det lykkedes at komme i kontakt med udlejer, da vi ankom, og han var flink til at give os en introduktion. Selve værelset var meget standard og uden særlig charme modsat forventning ift hvordan stedet ser ud udefra. Det var fint med køleskab på værelset. Badeværelserne i kælderen var gammeldags og meget simple. Cafeen virkede ret hyggelig selvom den desværre ikke var åben på dette tidspunkt. Vi kan anbefale stedet til den hurtige overnatning og en god nats søvn.
