I have stayed more than 1,000 nights in hotels around the world. This was my favorite stay. The view of the valley and mountains is unparalleled and I have never met a staff who made me feel like family like those of the Hotel Beau-Site. I have recommended to all of my family and friends.

Firstly, driving here at night is scary, especially at 3am, but on a road-trip from London, that was unavoidable. Also, reception closes at 10pm & so does check-in technically. But that's part of the whole deal I guess. As Londoner's, we're so used to 24-hour instant gratification that perhaps, we needed to come to somewhere like this. We phoned the hotel to let them know we were going to miss check-in and they left the keys in an easy to find location so we could get to our room. It took us a few minutes to get our bearings, but once we found our way in, it was near total darkness, so the kids were quite scared. However, from that point onward, this place is spectacular! The room is awesome, probably the best we've stayed in and beats previous highs in Paris and in Bhurban, Pakistan. But waking up the next morning was the real surprise. The views are just awesome and the family fell in love. The staff were brilliant with a nice breakfast and really helpful in helping us find our way around. Adelboden is a complete culture shock for a Londoner, but one you have to experience. As a quick pointer, if you have Halal or special dietary needs, just call ahead at the hotel and you'll find them helpful. There were some things on improve on, but perhaps that's more cultural and would take away from the overall experience. However, the good is sssoooo good, that I have no hesitation in giving a 5-star rating!

Couldn't have been welcomed any better! We were greeted and settled with ease and informed about the services on offer for us. Check out was simple and our stay was great. Breakfast offered a variety of options so there was something available for all. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.

Easy to access from main bus stop. Easy train bus access to the Adelboden and to the hotel which is 500 Yrds from Bus stop. This hotel has a nice Sauna and small but nice hot tub that hotel guests can use as well as massage for hire services. In Swiss fashion, both male & female drop hotel robes and hop in hot tub or sauna all natural.

A slightly dated hotel but with fantastic views. The rooms were very comfortable and the girl on reception was great and very helpful. Good breakfast. Surrounding town clearly caters for the winter trade so going in Summer gave it a very sleepy feel and a bit far out from most things.

If you are not sure if you will cancel, then you better know that this hotel charges 2 FULL NUGHTS if you cancel anywhere after a week before your booking!!! They know no one goes there so they insure an income even from escaping costumes! You can forget about any services after 11 pm, you ll be lucky if you found anyone at the reception before a 10 minutes wait & some shouts here & there ( there is not even a bell you can use to draw attention to your presence!!!) most of the staff barely speak English, they are for the most part freindly yet useless !! you need to go physically downstairs to get a password for wifi , the room furniture is old and , very dull & cheap, no airconditioning by any means , so if your having a hot humid night then you have got to open the windows to be greeted with all kinds of insects and bites all night long. We needed to go downstairs ( on 3 separate occasions ) and speak with 3 different ppl before someone finally understood that we needed some ice cubes !!! Since no machine at the reception provided such a magic service !! The tv in room is one those -found in the street, giveaway TV's- that no one sells anymore. The beds are very uncomfortable and you are better off spending the night in your sleeping bag! This is a 2 star hotel at best and if you are not living in the street normally and don't think that this year is 1969 then this hotel is NOT for you. AVOID BY ALL MEANS , WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AGAIN.

We opted for half-board and had very good six course evening meals served in pleasant surroundings. The tea and cake were welcome after a day on the ski slopes. The spa area was small but sufficient for the number of people using it. The hot tub costs extra. We made use of the indoor parking as temperatures in February were well below freezing. Our room had a good mountain view despite being on the lowest level.

If you want a quiet, relaxed stay with a beautiful view, good food and very friendly staff, we would recommend the BeauSite Hotel. We arrived very late and the staff accommodated us by serving us dinner in the dining room which they should have closed. The town is small with shops to browse thru, several lifts to take you to the top where sits a restaurant overlooking the mountains and valleys. We definitely would go back. Connie and Gregg 06/12/09
